A customer had to rewash their press molds an average of five times a month per machine due to oil adhesion. With ten machines, that was 50 rewashes a month. Adding Sugino's JCC-HM to their process resulted in 0 rewashes. Zero. They’ve gone from over 600 re-washings annually to none. And water replacement is now quarterly, instead of every month, resulting in substantial cost savings. High-viscosity oil is used to prevent wear and damage to press molds. However, keeping that same oil through post-processing can lead to poor results or even defects. This makes washing necessary, but the water quickly becomes oil-infused. But the JCC-HM can separate and remove oil from the water. Microbubbles from shop air catch oil droplets from the water and deliver them to a collection tank. Problem: A specialty chemical manufacturer faced challenges in effectively cleaning the interior surfaces of stainless-steel shipping totes used to transport polymer solutions globally. Residues, left to air dry for extended periods, became difficult to remove, requiring long wash cycles with inconsistent results. New chains often arrive from the manufacturer coated in a protective layer, such as wax or another preservative. This film protects the chain during storage and transportation, but it's not a substitute for proper lubrication. In fact, leaving it on can block essential lubricant from reaching the critical areas within the chain: the spaces between pins and bushings, and between bushings and links. 👉 For effective removal of this protective layer, immerse the chain in a degreaser suitable for industrial applications, such as Interflon Degreaser EM30+ or Interflon Degreaser ECO EM100+. Fifteen minutes of soaking should be sufficient to dissolve it. 👉 After degreasing, completely eliminate any remaining degreaser with a high-pressure air gun or hose. 👉 Once the chain is clean and dry, apply a high-quality industrial chain lubricant specifically formulated for the application and operating environment.
