Preposterous claims. You leave no room for ground and field layer strata. What will your dense thickets be like in 200 years - you have no idea. They probably will be long gone!
We need a good mix of evergreens and deciduous planting material and of varying growth rates to enhance forest's resiliency and sustainability. According proper spaces between trees is key to development of beautiful forest specimens and for performing a range of ecoservices.

2moSorry, this is so untrue. A 200 year old forest will support ecology and ecosystems far more complex than 20 year old trees. For a start, saproxylic insects and fungi need mature tree habitat, which just won't exist here. I do wish people would get real and stop jumping on fix-it-quick ideas. We need to plant, yes, we don't need gimmicks.
