I'd like to thank ITACOIL Trasformatori e induttanze for giving me the opportunity to attend PCIM Europe 2024 in #Nuremberg. It was a great chance to expand my knowledge in #powerelectronics and to see how companies present themselves at these events. I admit that I was initially a bit shy, given my young age, language barriers, and lack of electrical engineering background. However, I am proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone. During the fair, I had the opportunity to converse with several industry professionals who shared their experiences and provided interesting insights into common issues and #newmarkettrends. One aspect that sincerely disappointed me was noticing how the attention was almost exclusively focused on the big players. The reasons are easily understandable, but it is important not to forget the smaller companies that offer alternative and more flexible business models, proving to be significant #innovators deserving of more attention. This made me reflect on the fact that there might be valuable market niches that are still underrated. It may not be an easy task, but this experience has motivated me to work hard so that these realities can emerge and be recognized. I would like to thank MEV Elektronik Service GmbH for hosting us and Matteo Colautti, Sales Manager at ITACOIL Trasformatori e induttanze for guiding me through this journey. Grazie davvero🙏🏼 #PCIMEurope2024 #Electronics #Innovation #Networking #Pcb #Electronicdesign #Customtransformers #Demoboard

We were honored to welcome a delegation from Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)(工業技術研究院, 工研院) to das-Nano The delegation included Erika Ho, a member of the Business Division for Europe at ITRI’s Industry, Science and Technology International Strategy Center (ISTI), and Irene Izarra 安旖旎 from HERRERA ZHANG, the consulting firm that makes this visit to Navarra possible. During this visit, das-Nano's terahertz wave-based technology attracted significant interest from the Taiwanese delegation because of its potential to reduce costs and make manufacturing processes more efficient and sustainable. With das-Nano Irys, manufacturers can meticulously control coatings on various surfaces without contact, marking a significant advancement in quality control and drastically reducing rework and waste. Additionally, das-Nano Onyx enables the electrical characterization of materials, providing crucial assistance in manufacturing devices for the semiconductors industry. 🌍 Soitec at the Final Review of the TRANSFORM Project at Bosch Last week, Soitec participated in the final review of the EU-funded TRANSFORM project at Bosch's Renningen facility. This milestone marks the culmination of a groundbreaking initiative that has significantly advanced silicon carbide (#SiC) technology in Europe. It involves 33 partners across the value chain and the TRANSFORM project is set out to various objectives including proving the versatility of European #SiC technology in real-world applications. For us, #TRANSFORM has been pivotal in: ✅ Developing and refining our SmartSiC™ substrate ✅ Advancing materials and Smart Cut™ technology ✅ Delivering our 150mm SmartSiC commercial product in 2024 ✅ Validating compatibility of SmartSiC with leading partners such as STMicroelectronics, Bosch, CEA-Leti, AIXTRON SE, TU Chemnitz, and FhG IISB ✅ Supporting the creation of Bernin 4, our new fab dedicated to SmartSiC, inaugurated in September 2023 And the journey doesn’t stop here: the success of #TRANSFORM paves the way for Fastlane, a new project, coordinated by Valeo launched in May 2024 to accelerate the development of next-generation 150mm and 200mm SmartSiC substrates. We're proud to be part of this ecosystem driving sustainable, high-performance solutions for a greener and more connected future. #SmartSiC #SiliconCarbide #Sustainability #Innovation #EuropeanCollaboration
