🌟 Building Resilient Schools for Mental Well-being 🌟 I had the privilege of joining Childrenplus Plus on their podcast to discuss a topic close to my heart: fostering resilience and mental well-being in schools. CEO Vishal Sharma and I explored the roles of schools, parents, and counsellors in nurturing a supportive environment where children can not only cope with challenges but thrive. In today’s complex world, resilience in students isn’t just about academic success—it’s about developing emotional strength, self-awareness, and the ability to navigate pressures from academics, social expectations, and, increasingly, social media. Schools must focus on holistic development, fostering a sense of value, belonging, and empathy in students. Every teacher, in essence, can be a counsellor, guiding students to feel secure and confident. Key Takeaways: Resilience is a collective effort involving teachers, parents, and the community. Mental Health Support begins with recognizing the daily pressures children face, from academic competition to social media’s influence. Parental Involvement—quality time, open communication, and shared experiences—remains critical in grounding and supporting children. Thank you to Children Plus for this meaningful opportunity to share insights on a topic that can reshape the future of education. Let’s build schools that not only educate but uplift and empower. 🌱 #Education #MentalHealth #Resilience #ChildrenPlus #HolisticDevelopment #SchoolLeadership Amritash R. Education is the foundation asset of a child's nurturing process. We, as parents, tend to misinterpret it with overall percentage in school or "marks" in particular. We, as parents, force our children to obtain certain marks to be able to sustain in this competitive system. But, we rather forget the true meaning of Education which deals with a child's inherited skills as well as overall personality. Today, in the 21st Century, let us prioritize "Education" and not "Percentage". Encourage children to develop rather to become fit in the society! #21stcenturyeducation #learningsystem #preschoollearning

Early Childhood Learning 🌟 The early childhood years are crucial as children rapidly shift from dependence to independence. Parents play a key role in informal teaching, guiding children to notice their surroundings, label objects, and learn social skills, self-help skills, and early academic concepts. However, children with learning troubles often struggle with these seemingly natural skills due to difficulties in processing information. Despite this, they may excel in other areas, showing uneven development patterns in places such as listening, language, and motor skills. Their unique profiles make their learning and behavior less predictable. ✏️ For more information, check out our blog: https://zurl.co/eE3g #LearningDifficulties #ChildDevelopment #ParentingTips #UnderstandingKids #InclusiveEducation #SupportAndEmpower #LearningJourney #LearningisFun #TheBlog

As Elementary Principals and Parents, we know early literacy skills are important building blocks for future academic success. Yet despite our best efforts, too many students still struggle to reach reading proficiency by 3rd grade - that critical milestone year. Before third grade students are learning to read, after third grade students are expected to read to learn. The reasons for family struggles are many - from long working hours or financial constraints to obstacles engaging families such as limited access to a variety of books at home. But we can't afford to let these barriers stop our children's literacy development and love of learning from the start. That's why I'm looking forward to this insightful Instagram Live discussion on empowering families as partners in nurturing early literacy. Natasha, Kim, and I will talk about real-world strategies that we can implement in our schools and homes, no matter the circumstances. For principals like me, it's an opportunity to glean ideas for strengthening family literacy nights and parent workshops. And for caregivers, you may discover manageable yet meaningful activities to make reading a cherished daily habit. It’s going to take a village to make a change. When schools and families work together from the beginning, we can ensure every child builds a firm foundation to become literate and to be a critical thinker. I hope you'll join us for this engaging conversation on paving strong literacy foundations for all our students. Their future success depends on our commitment today.
