𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲-𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳. 👉Dr. Sumayya your friendly neighborhood health educator, researcher, and medical writer with a passion for making public health exciting and accessible. Over the past decade, I’ve been on a mission to improve health outcomes in various communities, leading public health initiatives that actually make a difference. Please think of me as the person who turns complex health jargon into easy-to-understand, engaging content. 👉Currently, I am a Clinical Mentor at the National AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infection Control Program (NASCP). Here, I get to design and implement health interventions that improve the lives of people living with HIV and other vulnerable groups. 👉Beyond my day job, I set up a research hub to support early researchers like me. Mentoring is my jam. I love guiding emerging talents and learning from the incredible mentors I’ve been lucky to have. And when I’m not mentoring or researching, you’ll find me volunteering for various causes because giving back is what it’s all about. 👉I hold an MBBS and an MPH and have both clinical and public health experience of about a decade. Plus, I’ve collected certifications in health policy, advocacy, sociology, and leadership like they’re Pokémon cards. Now, for the fun stuff: 👉 🏸Badminton is my happy place, and I play well; nothing like a good game to keep the energy up and the happy hormones! 👉Ever heard of someone willingly staying indoors for a whole month without seeing the sun? Yep, that was me; I love to stay 98% of the time indoors. 👉Cooking is my therapy, and I can make 3-5 dishes in one-hour delicious recipes that even my pickiest eaters love! If you're looking for someone to turn complex health topics into engaging and understandable content, boost your health programs, or conduct impactful research, let's connect! Together, we can make public health fun and effective. Thank you for reading! Can’t wait to connect and make healthy living contagious! Can’t wait to E-meet you. 8moThis is inspiring and the willingness and the deliberate effort to connect and network with similar minds is exemplary. I'm a Cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon with special interest in healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship, advocacy and communication. I like that part of simplifying and digesting complex medical jargons and technicalities to a form that can be understood and absorbed by the non-medical public. We are currently working to start a short health promotion video and textual project in our media startup and it will be nice to connect and discuss.
