Surely a balanced perspective is needed here

We are delighted to welcome both the Cunard Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria to the Cape Town cruise terminal simultaneously—a first in our history. This event underscores the strong growth trajectory of tourism and specifically cruise tourism in the Western Cape. The 2023/24 cruise season is expected to bring approximately 90,000 passengers. According to Wesgro’s estimates, this influx is projected to create around 3,000 new permanent jobs, contributing significantly to our regional economy. The Western Cape Government is dedicated to fostering partnerships with the private sector to catalyze further economic development and job creation. This is a prime example of how collaboration and strategic growth can benefit our province. #EconomicGrowth #JobCreation #CruiseTourism #WesternCape

Would be nice if the ships don’t blast their horns at 7am on a Saturday morning when they depart!

I completely agree Sumeetra and look forward to discussing this with you when we next catch up.
