On this day in 1994, our current CEO Keith Wolken hired Cecil Sloley. Since then, Cecil has managed countless transitions, accounts, programs, and employees at Service Management Systems. Though he has seen a lot of change over three decades, a few things remain the same – his embodiment of our 12 core values and “Whatever it Takes!” motto, his passion and commitment to seeing our company succeed, and his investment in his team and employees. Feeling incredibly lucky to celebrate a year that we could have never imagined, in all the best ways. Anyone who has ever worked with me knows that I have a very strong opinion about how your team and your clients are the absolute lifeblood of any company, and that if I ever started a business, that would be our north star, with zero tolerance for exceptions, because if that’s the focus, the success and money works itself out. And I don’t mean putting it on a culture wall, or in a teams channel, nor do I mean putting it in recruiting materials or client presentations… but rather, in practice… not once, but in perpetuity. It’s a tall order, and that’s why it’s so hard to accomplish, especially as companies scale. But, that doesn’t change my stance and is why having a growing team of this caliber who serve the clients that entrust us with their strategic technology initiatives is the ultimate picture of success to me, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we have accomplished in 2024 👏 2025 is going to have a lot to live up to, but with our focus on the two priorities above, I have no doubt it’ll be epic.
