Raise Your Voice for Child Advocacy and Sponsorship Every child deserves a chance to thrive, to feel loved, and to know that their future holds promise. Yet, many children around the world are denied these basic rights, facing challenges like poverty, malnutrition, lack of education, and neglect. At God’s Grace and Mercy Community, we believe that each child has the potential to shine—if only they are given the opportunity. Child advocacy means standing up for the rights and well-being of children, ensuring they receive the care, protection, and opportunities they deserve. Sponsorship allows you to personally make a lasting impact by supporting a child’s education, healthcare, and basic needs. By becoming an advocate or a sponsor, you are giving these children a chance at a better life and a brighter future. We can’t do it alone. We need your voice, your heart, and your support. How You Can Help: Advocate: Speak up for children in need and raise awareness within your community. Sponsor: By sponsoring a child, you can directly change a life by providing essentials like food, education, shelter, and healthcare. Spread the Word: Like, share, repost, and recommend our mission to others. Let’s build a network of love and care for the children who need us most. 'Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me.' – Matthew 18:5 Together, we can change lives—one child at a time. https://lnkd.in/gyNqZvWZ #ChildAdvocacy #SponsorAChild #RaiseYourVoice #SupportOurMission #GodsGraceAndMercy #ChildrenDeserveBetter #Matthew185 #StandUpForChildren #EndChildPoverty #SupportEducation #CareForTheVulnerable #GiveHope #BeAChampionForChildren #MakeADifference #SupportOrphans #EmpowerThroughSponsorship #JoinTheCause #EveryChildMatters #HelpTheNeedy #ChangeALife #BuildingBrighterFutures #ActWithCompassion #LiftUpTheNextGeneration #TransformLives #HopeForChildren #InvestInTheirFuture #TogetherWeCan #SponsorWithLove #CommunityForChange #AdvocateForChildren.

Happy Giving Tuesday! If your inbox is at all like mine today, it's PACKED full of requests from incredible organizations and worthy causes. For anyone committed to advancing social justice in Massachusetts, I ask that you please consider including Massachusetts Appleseed Center for Law and Justice among those you support today! I'm so proud to be part of a lean team that punches above its weight and has an outsized impact on urgent issues. Here's just a few of the projects closest to my heart that I've gotten to work on over the years: ✨ Shining a light on how language discrimination in the child welfare system can lead to the cruel and wrongful separation of immigrant families right here in Massachusetts. ✨ Pushing back against misleading media narratives trying to criminalize young people and working with partners to refocus conversations about school safety on what actually works - better supports for students, not police and surveillance. ✨ Working in coalition to pass legislative reforms that will help youth experiencing homelessness access the resources they need - including a bill that would make it easier for these young people to obtain state ID. If you've been at any sort of social gathering with me, you've heard me yell about how important and commonsense this is! If you haven't heard me yell about it yet, just take a moment and imagine trying to do anything (rent an apartment, enroll in school, get a job) without identification documents. Every dollar donated helps fuel initiatives like these and sends us into 2025 better equipped for everything that comes our way. Donate: https://lnkd.in/gTZmagti Want to support this work year-round? At WIN, we believe protecting children isn’t just a responsibility—it’s a moral obligation that defines our humanity. These unspeakable acts steal their innocence, their dreams, and their futures. No child should ever endure such pain. This day isn’t just about raising awareness—it’s a call to action. Here’s how WIN is fighting for our children: ✅Educating Communities: Partnering with local organizations to help people recognize the warning signs of abuse and the urgent need for intervention. ✅Empowering Caregivers: Hosting workshops for parents, teachers, and caregivers to create safe and nurturing environments. ✅Advocating for Change: Pushing for stricter policies and better enforcement to shield children from harm. ✅Supporting Survivors: Offering counselling, resources, and empowerment programs to help survivors rebuild their lives. This is our call to action: Speak up. Stand up. Protect the innocent. If you see something, say something. Every report, every action, every voice can save a child’s life. Together, we can build a world where every child grows up safe, loved, and free from fear. The creation of this UN Day is more than a date on the calendar—it’s a promise. A promise that no child will be forgotten. That their safety and dignity matter. And that we will never stop fighting for them. Join WIN in keeping this promise. Because when a child is harmed, humanity itself is wounded. #WomenImpactingNigeria #WIN #ProtectOurChildren #StopChildAbuse #UNDayForChildProtection #EndChildExploitation #ChildrenDeserveBetter #BreakTheSilence #WomenImpactingNigeria #TogetherWeCan #EveryChildMatters

CALLING FOR JUSTICE After more than 5 years, only 2 of 231 Calls for Justice that came out of the National Inquiry have been completed and more than half have not even started. This disappointing reality is why the Southern Chiefs' Organization continues to advocate and call for justice through our campaign on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two Spirit, and Gender-Diverse People (MMIWG2S+). We are raising awareness by giving out SCO MMIWG2S+ t-shirts, candles, and a booklet that shares the 231 Calls for Justice from the final report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. You can join in by picking up all three items at SCO’s sub-office at 1572 Dublin Avenue during regular office hours, Mon-Fri from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (closed from 12 noon – 1 pm each day). We will not be mailing out any of these items. Quantities are limited and these items are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Follow us on social media as we will share updates when we run out of the items for giveaway. SCO encourages all Canadians to read the 231 Calls for Justice and join our campaign to honour our loved ones, and all those impacted by the national epidemic of MMIWG2S+. #SCOINCMB #giveaway #MMIWG2S+#NoMoreStolenSisters #MMIWG #dayofaction #educate #inquiry #FirstNations #Anishinaabe #Dakota #justice #CallsforJustice #Manitoba

Philly has had a difficult week. It has been made clear, in no uncertain terms, that our leadership has decided to enforce new legislation and enact a strategic strike against harm reduction and public health, weaponizing their power to cause great harm. The lease ending for Savage Sisters Recovery, Inc was one minor show of power. But the response that we received from the community, not just on a local level, but on a global level, has been astounding. So let me be very clear. This work will not stop. We will continue to show up, we will continue to serve, and we will continue to save lives. Because the people that we serve, our beautiful friends, are Worth Saving. Each organization delivering public health services stands in solidarity against these archaic laws, practices and policies. While we may have to get flexible and creative, we will never stop. We’ve been shackled and chained to outdated laws & prohibitionist policies for decades. It’s time to break free. I am certain this will be difficult and we all need to work together. But I believe in my core that the work our organizations do, serves humanity. So we will coordinate, collaborate, organize, serve, support, advocate & keep the light on. Time to stay strong, stand tall and serve ferociously. Like a Savage. Today, on World Day Against Child Labor, we highlight the plight of 218 million children worldwide who are denied the chance to be children. Many of these children work full-time, missing out on education, play, proper nutrition, and care. The International Labour Organization (ILO) launched this day in 2002 to focus on the global extent of child labor and the actions needed to eliminate it. The theme for 2024 is "Social Justice for All. End Child Labor!" This theme emphasizes the need for fair, inclusive societies where children can thrive. Here are 5 ways you can help in the fight against child labor: - Support Education: Donate to or volunteer with organizations that provide quality education for children. - Raise Awareness: Use your voice on social media to highlight the issue of child labor. - Advocate for Change: Contact your local representatives to push for stronger child labor laws. - Promote Ethical Practices: Buy from companies with child-labor-free supply chains. - Support Families: Donate to social protection programs that help families in need. Together, we can end child labor and create a brighter future for all children. #EndChildLabor #SocialJusticeForAll #SDGs #GlobalGoals #QualityEducation #ReducedInequalities #DecentWork #ResponsibleConsumption #NoPoverty #ZeroHunger

This #ChildProtectionWeek, let's unite to ensure every child feels safe, loved, and protected. It takes a village to raise a child, and we all play a part in safeguarding their well-being. Here are a few ways you can contribute: 1. **Educate**: Teach children about their rights and how to stay safe. 2. **Listen**: Create a safe space for children to express their concerns. 3. **Report**: Speak up if you see or suspect abuse. Protecting children is everyone's responsibility. 4. **Support**: Offer support to families in need. Sometimes, a little help can prevent a crisis. Together, we can create a safer, brighter future for our children. 💚 #ProtectOurKids #ChildSafety #CommunityCare #ChildWelfare #EveryConversationMatters #ChildTrafficking
