Have you ever imagined the breathtaking sight of a lion perched high in the branches of an acacia tree, surveying the vast wilderness below? In the heart of Africa, in Uganda’s Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park and Tanzania’s Lake Manyara National Park, this surreal experience comes to life. Tree-climbing lions are a rare and captivating phenomenon, defying the usual behavior of their kind. Their agile moves and relaxed postures in the treetops testify to nature's incredible adaptability. But why do these kings and queens of the savannah climb trees? Some say it’s to escape the ground's heat, avoid biting insects, or gain a vantage point to spot prey. Whatever the reason, the sight is pure magic—a once-in-a-lifetime encounter that every adventurer dreams of. At Sun Africa Expeditions, we specialize in crafting unforgettable journeys to immerse you in Africa’s most extraordinary spectacles. Whether you’re a wildlife photographer, a nature enthusiast, or someone seeking an unforgettable story, this adventure awaits you. Join us on a safari of a lifetime! 🤔 Are those the Pride Rocks from The Lion King? 🐾 My dear guest asked me a question when I drove into the central hashtag #serengeti . 🐾 Yes, based on the Lion King film, and they are technically known as Kopjes. 📌 What are they called? again, he asked I knew that was the following question, and I told him to say "kopees." 🔸 Kopjes are a distinctive feature of the Serengeti landscape and are often referred to as "islands in a sea of grass." 🔸 Granite kopjes, or "rock outcrops," can be found throughout the Serengeti plains. It occasionally features lions, leopards, and cheetahs. 🐾 Kopjes provide habitat for birds and mammals, such as barn owls and large cats. Additionally, big cats use it as a vantage point. 🙌🏻 We were lucky enough to see several lions on the Kopjes, which are unique to the Serengeti plains. It was one of his bucket lists to see and photograph lions on the rock. 🔥 Please share with us in the comments section below. 🕷 What is on your bucket list for an African safari? 🦁 How many lions can you see in the photo? 🦁 Did you know Tanzania has so many lions compared to all other African countries combined? You know where to go if you enjoy seeing and photographing lions, right? ..... #Travel for #conservation and #sustainable #tourism ....... 📸 : Ole-Monah M. 📍 : Loliondo Kopjes -Serengeti National Park 🌏 : Tanzania East Africa 🇹🇿 🦁 🦁 🦁 #travelagent #travelconsultant #traveladvisor #experientialtravel

Should You Head East Or South For An Africa Safari? Because of the continent’s enormous size, safari veterans usually divide Africa into two regions, eastern and southern. Focusing your interest on one particular region makes sense when considering a two-week stay. In both regions, you will have a chance to see the Big 5 (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo) but you find there are different species unique to each region. Both these regions offer plenty of attractions, so we try to figure out exactly what type of safari experience you’d like to have and then we narrow it down from there. Let us help you decide: https://lnkd.in/gxGFH7wb #TettSafaris #safaripark #safariphotography #safariquestions #safaribooking #safaribookings #safariadventure #AfricaSafari #BigFive #Wilderness #SafariVacation #SafariLife #AfricanWildlife #safariphoto #safariguide #safaritrip #safarimoments

It’s Saturday, and honestly, I’m not in the mood for heavy business talk. Let’s keep it light and fun. Lately, I’ve been enjoying a lot of coffee chats. Sure, it’s networking, but for me, it’s more about meeting new people and making new friends. I’ve loved learning about people’s goals, family adventures, hobbies, passions, and travels. These chats often remind me of my own passions— travel, animals, and photography—and how much joy they bring to my life. When I travel, I love combining these passions. In November, I joined my trainer friends on a horse shopping trip in Europe. It was incredible meeting so many lovely horses. But my most epic adventures have always been about animals in their natural habitats—experiencing their freedom and coming back with photos that transport me back to those magical moments. Here are a few highlights from my travels: African Safaris: Two unforgettable trips across six countries. So many animals! Galápagos Islands: Seeing Lonesome George before he passed away and countless other unique species on land and underwater. Guyana’s Jungles: So remote, you barely saw another person. Antarctica, the Falklands, and South Georgia: My most epic trip. I took one of my favorite photos ever on Antarctic waters, which is actually my cover photo here on LinkedIn. It's why it's there, and I don't have another banner. I would say, that I did not enjoy being in the Southern Ocean when I did the polar plunge though...lol Speaking of penguins, they’re a special draw for me. Maybe it’s because they’re so different from anything I grew up with. My first encounter was in New Zealand, and since then, I’ve seen 10 penguin species in their natural habitats. I’ve been lucky enough to visit all seven continents, and while I may not visit every country (some are too dangerous or not appealing to me), I dream of seeing all penguin species someday. Also on my bucket list is getting to see narwhals off the coast of Baffin Island in Canada. Now it’s your turn! What’s your passion? Where are some of the coolest places you’ve been? Let’s share some joy and inspiration this weekend. #TravelAdventures #AnimalLovers #PhotographyPassion #SaturdayVibes #NetworkingWithPurpose

Astola Beach in Pakistan has achieved global acclaim, earning its place among the elite ranking of the world's best 70 beaches. This recognition has been achieved due to the unparalleled beauty and ecological significance of Astola Island. Astola Island, also known as "Haft Talar Island" or the "Island of the Seven Hills," is a geological wonder with seven unique hills. Considered Pakistan's largest offshore island, this undiscovered treasure has breathtaking landscapes featuring towering cliffs, quiet bays, and brilliant coral reefs. Dolphins, whales, sea turtles, and diverse fish species comprise its rich marine biodiversity. Despite its natural beauty, Astola Island has mostly gone untouched by tourists due to insufficient infrastructure and accessibility issues. However, for brave travelers willing to make the voyage, Astola Island promises an extraordinary experience. #newsfeed #Pakistsan #astolabeach #island #pakistantourism #explorepakistan #marinebiodiversity #undiscoveredgem

No trip to Tanzania is complete without visiting the Ngorongoro Crater. This stunning natural wonder is a must-see for anyone who loves wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and a bit of adventure. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most unique places on Earth, where you can see thousands of animals living together in harmony in a perfect natural setting. In this blog post, we’ll take you through why this place is so special and what makes it a must-visit destination on your Tanzania safari. What is the Ngorongoro Crater? The Ngorongoro Crater is a massive volcanic caldera located in northern Tanzania, within the larger Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It was formed about 2.5 million years ago when a huge volcano erupted and collapsed on itself, leaving behind a crater that is now one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world. The crater is about 600 meters (1,970 feet) deep and covers an area of 260 square kilometers (100 square miles), making it the largest unbroken volcanic caldera on the world. But what truly makes this crater special is the diversity of wildlife that calls it home. The enclosed ecosystem within the crater has created the perfect conditions for a variety of animals to thrive. Here, you’ll find grasslands, swamps, forests, and a lake, all in one place. This mix of habitats supports around 30,000 animals, including lions, elephants, zebras, and rhinos. #intothewild #wildlifephotography #savagebeauty #africansafariadventure #wildlifeconservation #serengetinationalpark #naturelovers #bigcat #wildernessexperience #animalkingdom #travelphotography #traveler #nature #safari #ngorongorocrater #safariphotography #mikuminationalpark #naturephotography
