Recently, I visited the 1X office in Norway where I saw these humanoid robots in action. The amazing and dynamic team of engineers have been working restlessly to improve the robots’ movements, speed, and features with thousands of tests. It’s the spirit of science - failures and continuous tackling challenges made them more precise and natural day by day. As #employment is in the realm of my work, I relate to the company’s mission to develop highly autonomous humanoid robots address labour shortage in certain sectors, such as at schools and care centers. In the meantime, we need to better understand the impact of #robotics on the labour market, as well as the #skills required by the future labour force to utilize robots to make human’s work more productive and creative.

There's much work on #AI behind newspapers' first pages and when this work converts into product and services it is to remind us how fast the #future is spreading into the present. I pride myself on being tech-forward, and yes, geeks would love having a buddy doing chores while they spend all their day in the chair in front of the computer. With the financial purchasing power from our clients in the yachting industry, how long before Neo is on a yacht working in the housekeeping depatment folding clothes, ironing ( a task many stews dislike) watering plants, helping stews making / serving tea and cocktails and anything else they will be taught via imitation learning ?
