Bharat/India's 2nd largest Retailer...!...Ola Electric/Bhavish Aggarwal Audacious, Disruptive, Dangerous and could also be Fatal....Ola Electric and Bhavish Aggarwal perhaps creating a World Record in the fastest store rollout by any Retailer in the world....across formats/geographies/timezones Ola Electric A Retailer...! Will be interesting to see....how the largest EV 2 wheeler manufacturer of Bharat/India is going to execute a World Record and becoming the 2nd Largest Retailer in-terms of store count (behind Reliance Retail) of Bharat and deliver on the Customer experience post launch....!! A lot has been spoken (good and not so good) about Ola Electric and Bhavish Aggarwal's audacious announcement of 4000 stores of OLA across Bharat/India by 25th December - 2025. Some interesting perspective : 1. Opening 3200 additional new stores in 2-3 months is perhaps Nothing short of A World Record..... personally, i do not recall of any other company/individual attempting and even coming close to such an Audacious plan. 2. Even if this is achieved in the next 3-6 months, it will still be one of the fastest Retail/Store rollouts in the world (i guess). 3. The real problem could multiply for Bhavish Aggarwal in terms of managing and standardising operations across 4000 COCO stores across Bharat/India and ensuring satisfactory Brand/Product/Service and Omni-channel experience delivery to it's consumers....!! it could be even fatal if the operations at such scale is not managed well. 4. Ola Electric and Bhavish Aggarwal will need to bring in Retail talent who understand the complexity of such operations and who can deliver business, sales, service at scale....Having good Retail talent at the top is going to be beyond crucial. 5. Having the right technology and processes to recruit, onboard, train, retain and motivate a work force across geographies, ethnicities is going to be A massive challenge and opportunity. 6. This move by Bhavish Aggarwal is also like setting the Cat amongst the pigeons for the other 2 wheeler brands/companies. Bajaj Auto Ltd TVS Motor Company Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. Scaling with weak PMF is one of the biggest mistakes you can make 🧨 What does weak PMF look like? 🤔 It can be observed as follows: 1. Low Demand: Customer adoption is super low i.e. they don’t care about your product offering 📉 2. Dissatisfaction: Customers are not satisfied or often complain about what you have to offer 🥲 3. Inefficicent: Your product yields low to no business benefit 💰 OR You can just read the comment section of the below post 🙃

If this is true, it's absolutely insane! While I wouldn't blame Ola as a company, the person managing the service center should have definitely checked before billing the customer. It's crucial because you're entrusting business to someone who clearly doesn't understand customer service. 🚫🛠️ Ola should thoroughly verify the capabilities of their partners before entering into business partnerships. ✅🔍 #ola #ev #motor #scooter #electricvehicle #vehicle
Great products bring great peace of mind! Focus on making your product truly GREAT—by not only improving quality and lowering usage costs (like electricity vs. fuel bills) but also minimizing the cost of frustration. No product should leave users feeling frustrated or helpless; that's the opposite of what a great product represents. Aim to delight, not disappoint, and always keep the user at the heart of your innovation. 🚀 #CostOfUsage #CostOfFrustration #ProductManagement Story: An electric scooter customer in India received a shocking ₹90,000 repair bill just one month after purchasing the scooter—almost as much as its purchase price. Frustrated beyond measure, the customer smashed the scooter right in front of the showroom. Update: Sharing the URL to my product management book here, as requested by some readers: https://amzn.in/d/fIS54Zl . The post above highlights the cost of usage, a concept explained in detail in the book.
