🎤 I recently had the privilege to speak to a powerful group of about 300 humans at the Gaylord Hotel in Nashville.
Reflecting on the experience, I realized some key takeaways were excellent reminders for me as a speaker.
These insights, such as the importance of curiosity and connection, are not just applicable to public speaking, but they also transcend our relationships with stakeholders in our businesses.
They can help us better understand and engage with our clients, partners, and team members, creating the conditions for more effective and powerful relationships!
✨ #Curiosity: Paying particular attention to the CEO's opening remarks, I refined my message before going on stage to connect the message to the experience and have a more significant impact. Don't forget to tune your listening into people around you; there's a lot to learn!
✨ #Connection: Remember to be part OF the group, not APART from it: Engaging directly with the participants during interactive exercises made a world of difference in deepening our connection. How often are you alongside your team to better understand their experience?
✨ #Consistency: If you're not having fun, you might be doing it wrong. I love to have fun; it's one of my core values and has been a powerful experience accelerator in my life. Have you ensured that you've had fun today?
#StayCurious!
