One of the traditions I like the most 🍻 Getting towards the end of the year, it is surely a time to look back and recognize and appreciate our colleagues. Without our colleagues, the activities, achievements and experiences would not be possible at all. In appreciation of our 750 colleagues at Carlsberg Deutschland, at this time every year we do a so-called "Jahresrückblick" where the examples are shared across the departments - examples we are all proud of. Of course, combined with an exciting quiz about this year's achievements, presented to colleagues by colleagues across the company. By collecting and sharing everything in a joint call is a strong reminder of the year that is now coming to an end, of how much is actually happening in the course of a year, and of course how much we can appreciate the collaboration across the company. For me, it also helps to connect all the daily challenges, discussions and decisions into a yearly view of how impact is delivered by ONE TEAM. Thriving on refusing to buy Pepsi-Cola and Coca-Cola brands, Cola Next is using Patriotism appeal in its ADs to persuade consumers. The first line of defence from affected brands was offering low prices and huge discounts. Now these brands are also trying to connect with Pakistan in their commercials in one way or the other. A recent commercial from Lays (link below) shows its complete supply chain of potatoes contributing to farmers’life, its massive distribution across cities and, its intense consumption by Pakistani people on different occasions of joy and happiness with the tagline: lays-inn-se-hai-joy. Similarly, Olivia reflected its emotional bond with Pakistan with tagline MEIN PAKISTAN HOON (https://lnkd.in/dtF6biV8). In an exceptionally well-executed AD, Olivia manifests its deep-rooted connection with Pakistani Culture and its people in their dreams and aspirations. It urges to be Pakistani and buy Pakistani.
