Sometimes we don't know how lost we are until we find our path again. Sometimes we don't realise how much we needed help and support until we get it. This is certainly the case for many Veterans who have battled difficult times, faced unseen challenges, as well as dealing with pain, injury and illness. Reaching out and asking for help can feel like a leap of faith, a jump into the unknown. But sometimes you can land just where you need to be - into a support network that gets it, into a place, a group of people, an activity that can help you find your way again. And for many Veterans this is exactly what the Ski-habilitation Week has done - helped them find support, the right people and get the right guidance and support to get back on track to a brighter future. This. Should. Not. Happen. Our heroes should never feel alone. Since 2003, Soldiers' Angels has sent over 1,038,900 care packages to deployed Service Members. That's 1,038,900 morale-boosting pieces of mail that ensure they know America stands with them. America remembers them. But we need more. Right now, nearly 300 deployed Service Members are currently waiting to be supported by Soldiers' Angels. They feel alone and isolated—they need support.
