We are excited to join the #WaterSobrietyChallenge to empower each of our employees to become an active participant in our #EcologicalTransition! 🌱🌎 As part of Quality of Work Life Week and in celebration of Environment Month, Adionics invites its employees to adopt more eco-friendly behaviors both in the office and while working remotely. To achieve this, Adionics has decided to join the Environmental Challenge organized by Energic, le #ChallengeEnvironnemental, an expert in change management. With the Energic, le Challenge Environnementa app, we will take on fun challenges to promote the adoption of responsible behaviors in companies. Nature needs business. The consequences of climate change are far-reaching, including rising temperatures, more frequent and severe weather events, and shifts in ecosystems and species distribution. And gender injustice is a major driver. Women are disproportionately affected by climate change due to underlying barriers woven into the fabric of our society. Forests are crucial in combating climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide, regulating global temperatures and influencing local weather patterns. Trees also play a key role in plant and animal biodiversity, stabilising soils preventing erosion and regulating water flow reducing the risk of floods and droughts. Women often hold essential local knowledge, expertise and perspectives that can significantly contribute to climate change mitigation, disaster reduction and adaptation strategies for a more sustainable future. At TreeSisters, we support the power of trees, forests and women to tackle the climate challenge by: 🌳 Partnering with local and Indigenous communities to facilitate ethical forest restoration; 🌳 Centring women’s voices and integrating gender equity in all our work; and 🌳 Inspiring connection with Nature to promote a consciousness shift from consumer to restorer. Over the last 10 years, we’ve planted more than 28 million trees with 19 partners across 12 countries. And in 2023-24 we encouraged more than 12,000 local and Indigenous community members to participate in the restoration of their lands, with women making up more than 50% of those participating and almost 500 taking leadership roles in the projects.   Our vision is of a world where Nature and people flourish in connection, equity and harmony.
