Scoop w/Riddhi Kanetkar: VSim, a Manchester-based startup founded by former engineers at Nvidia, is set to raise a major funding round to build out simulation infrastructure for computing. Founded last year, the nascent business is in talks to raise around $22 million in a deal led by EQT Ventures as it looks to hire talent and expand its product offering into VFX and robotics. When GPUs become the most-wanted, tremendously scarce resource AI companies need to win the race, having a large stash of them puts you definitely in a strong position (and if you are a VC, it gives you an edge in accessing the fastest-growing startups).
