Calling Out All the Virtual Assistants on LinkedIn Your attention is needed I recently had a conversation with a founder who told me about a negative experience she had with a Virtual Assistant. The VA had taken on a task that was beyond her capability, and the result was poor quality work. This made her lose trust in virtual assistants. It's really okay to say I can't do this Because I believe it's better to be upfront than to promise something you can't deliver. Your reputation as a virtual assistant is only as good as the quality of your work and the trust you build with clients. Remember, integrity and honesty are key. As a virtual assistant, you need to keep learning and keep up with changes in the industry. Be open to new skills, new knowledge, and new opportunities to grow. To stay current: ✅Watch YouTube videos to learn about new tools and techniques. ✅Do research to stay up-to-date on trends and best practices. ✅Consider doing an internship to get experience and mentorship. ✅Take courses, even if you have to pay for them, to keep learning and growing. With these tips, we can make the VA world better for everyone! Love you all, and keep up the good work! I'm a Personal & Administrative Virtual Assistant In need of my service? 🌟 Embracing Growth and Perseverance🌟 Recently, I made the decision to sign up for a Virtual Assistant course—a commitment to enhancing my skills and expanding my career opportunities. It hasn't been an easy journey. From balancing my responsibilities to overcoming new learning curves, the challenges have been real. But I knew that growth only happens outside of our comfort zones. Now, as I near the finish line, I'm proud of the progress I've made and excited about the doors this knowledge will open. This experience has reinforced my belief in the power of persistence and lifelong learning. To anyone else on a similar journey—stay the course. The challenges are temporary, but the rewards are lasting. Here's to new skills, new opportunities, and continued success! #VirtualAssistant #LifelongLearning #Perseverance #GrowthMindset #SuccessAhead

2023 was the year I almost gave up… I felt stuck, working bare minimum tasks, long hours, but barely seeing results. I was tired of applying for jobs and hearing crickets. My inbox was quiet, and so was my confidence. I knew I had skills, but I didn’t know how to stand out or attract the right clients. But then something shifted. I stopped trying to figure it all out alone and started leaning into community, learning from others, sharing struggles, and picking up strategies that actually worked. That’s when things started to change. Now, I’m on a mission to make sure other Virtual Assistants don’t have to go through that same cycle of frustration and second-guessing. That’s why I created The HVA Tribe —a space for Virtual Assistants ready to lock in, level up, and secure multiple jobs in 2025. Here’s what we’re offering: ✨ A one-time paid membership—for people who are serious about growth. ✨ Internship opportunities—so you can get hands-on experience and build confidence. ✨ Winning strategies—to help you stand out, attract clients, and actually get hired. If you’re tired of feeling stuck and ready to step into 2025 with clarity and confidence, I’d love for you to join us - https://lnkd.in/dg8bCzDd Let’s make 2025 the year you finally see your hard work pay off. 💼✨

The Power of Upskilling and Meaningful Connections After spending over five years in the same company within the interior design industry, navigating through various roles, I realized the importance of growth and increasing my value. Despite my dedication and hard work, I felt it was time to explore opportunities that could help me grow and showcase my potential. In September this year, a friend shared a link to apply for the ALX Virtual Assistant Cohort 6 program. I decided to take the leap, and it turned out to be life-changing. The 8-week program not only equipped me with new skills but also opened my eyes to the importance of forming meaningful connections. What stood out the most during the training was the emphasis on networking. We were taught that opportunities often come from the connections we already have. True to this, the executive assistant role I recently secured was referred to me by a friend, who had shared the opportunity through her own network. This role is hybrid, not fully virtual, but it aligns perfectly with my career aspirations. It became clear to me that upskilling alone isn’t enough—it’s about applying what you learn, forming genuine connections, and leveraging your network. This experience has been a testament to the importance of constant growth and nurturing relationships. If I hadn’t taken that step to upskill and engage with my network, I wouldn’t have landed this incredible opportunity. To anyone seeking growth: never stop investing in yourself and always value the connections you have. The right opportunity could be just one conversation away.

I’ll be honest....starting my career as a social media manager and administrative virtual assistant wasn’t easy. (Nothing is easy, right!) One thing I was sure of, was that I knew the potential and was passionate about the impact I could make but the biggest challenge? Was Funding my own growth. This was challenging, I tell you....it really was Learning social media management came with costs: courses, tools, resources… it all added up. All I wanted was simple - to upskill and dive into the best practices to serve clients well but every course I researched seemed out of reach financially. (Life is what it is) 🤷 I began to run away from clients because I knew I haven't learned what it takes to handle their problems Hold on! Like you ran away from clients that other people were looking for? Who does that I know right! I just wasn't competent enough...🤦 Did you give up? Exactly what you are about to find out After months of working odd jobs and carefully saving I finally put together enough to invest in a course that promised real, hands-on skills. Believe me, It was one of the most rewarding investments I've made. That course gave me the foundation I needed to step up my career, and from there, opportunities began opening up. If there’s one lesson I took from this, and I would love you to pick from too it’s that upskilling is a journey, and sometimes, that journey starts with sacrifice and determination. Secondly, believe in your dreams, never give up on your dreams simply because things aren't working out Imagine, I gave up - I probably wouldn't have been here today Now, as I help brands and individuals grow online, I’m proud of the journey that got me here. To everyone who’s grinding to make their dreams a reality, keep pushing. Your efforts will pay off! You have got this 💪 Happy midweek lovelies PS. The cheapest thing to give out today is a smile. You never can tell what it can do. Be kind with your smile ☺️ #CareerChroniclesChallenge #SocialMediaManager #VirtualAssistant #NeverGiveUp My entry for the "Tell your career story" at Career Chronicles Live Show

𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙮! It's a fresh start, and I hope you're all doing great As I kick-start the week, I want to share my experience designing a weekly schedule for a Virtual Assistant (VA) at my internship place. My task was to create a schedule that would help the VA stay organized and focused throughout the week. I researched different tools and methods, and tried using Google Calendar, Trello, Asana, and even Microsoft Excel Sheet. Each tool had its unique features, but I found myself loving Monday.com It allowed me to create a customizable schedule that met all my needs. I could assign tasks, set deadlines, and track progress. Now, I'm curious... What's your go-to task management tool? Do you prefer Trello, Asana, or something else entirely? Let me know in the comments below Hi, I'm Chidimma Esther Amoke, an Administrative & Customer Support Virtual Assistant dedicated to delivering exceptional support. My skills include: - Streamlining processes - Managing tasks efficiently - Ensuring smooth operations - Building strong relationships - Resolving issues promptly #taskmanagement #productivity #mondaydotcom #internship #virtualassistant #happynewweek #Day3atEGAI #LastweekofmyNovLinkedlinChallenge
