Our exciting comprehensive study, freshly published in #scientificreports paves the way for improved #poultry health and food safety. It sheds light on the pathogenesis of colisepticaemia, a disease caused by avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC) applying novel tools to track the disease's progression and transmission of #Ecoli into eggs. Intriguingly, we've made use of the most advanced #bioluminescence system to visualize bacterial colonization in host organs and eggs, providing a clearer understanding of disease stages and bacterial transmission. Below is a picture of glowing chickens (whole) and organs infected with bioluminescent E. coli. #cityu #vetmeduni #colibacillosis https://lnkd.in/dHT7-u9u
Congratulations my friend. Will read it soon.
Surya Paudel well done 👏
Very informative and impactful study!
Congratulations Surya!

9moVery interesting paper! Did you consider the oral route of infection? One potential mode of pathogenesis for this disease is through translocation from the GI to the other tissues. Something that I believe still needs to be investigated. Commensal E. Coli and APEC have been found in high ratios in the GI during disease development.
