The CLF-C2420Y/Z features the Sony Pregius POLARSENS IMX250MY/ZR Global Shutter CMOS image sensor with a native resolution of 2464 x 2056 in a 2/3” optical format delivering up to 97 frames per second with a Camera Link® Full Power over Camera Link (PoCL®). The sensor is available in monochrome (Z) or color (Y) versions and has a unique 2x2 pixel sub-array where each pixel within the sub-array blocks a different polarization filter angle (0, 45, 90 or 135 degrees). This allows the user to obtain images with four different polarization angles in each image capture. Polarization imaging helps to differentiate materials that look similar using unpolarized visible light, e.g. white pills in a blister pack with a white background, or clear liquid in a glass container. The camera has excellent sensitivity, fast frame rates, exceptional dynamic range and supports strobe outputs, trigger inputs, automatic exposure, automatic gain control with multiple LUTs, and other high-value functions. Today, we're thrilled to share a step-by-step guide on seamlessly integrating a Lanoptik Embedded Camera into your Leica DM500 microscope. 👉 Step 1: Remove the eyepiece head of your Leica DM500 using a 3mm Allen key. It's a breeze with a simple twist! 📷 Step 2: Introducing the star of our tutorial – the Lanoptik Embedded Camera. It attaches directly to the body and is designed to fit perfectly with the Leica DM500's dovetail mount. Make sure it's facing forward and locked in place for optimal performance. 🔧 Step 3: Reattach the eyepiece head using the same 3mm Allen key. Precision is key! 🔌 Step 4: Power up your new camera with a USB cable conveniently plugged into the DM500's power output.
