It's one thing to know what #ClimateChange is and What #SexualReproductiveHealth and #FamilyPlanning is. But it's a whole different thing understanding how these three concepts are related and affect each other, in turn impacting #development. In the video below 👇 , young Kenyans, championing for integrated and holistic implementation, explain how #ClimateChange negatively affects the sexual reproductive health and rights of girls and women, how it shapes their family planning choices and how it hinders access to essential services. Please join us 🤙 👨👧 🙏 We are on a mission to ensure that the #SustainableDevelopment we all sing about every day is realized, institutionalized and becomes integral to the developmental goals and initiatives in our countries and local communities. The secret truly lies in realizing the intersection between SRH/FP with Populational dynamics, Health aspects and Environmental issues. #PHE #ClimateChangeAndSRH #ClimateChange #FamilyPlanning #HolisticApproach #SystemsThinking #SustainableDevelopmentGoals African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) Pathways Policy Institute (PPI) Peter Ngure Lucky Namunyak Kaesha FHI 360 PACJA South Africa National Council for Population and Development

Lets talk about Sexual Reproductive Health Awareness in schools, what are we afraid of? why are we denying these children an opportunity to understand how their bodies work and make informed decisions? Why are we allowing social media to be their teacher and allow its brutality to exhaust them? Why are we allowing misinformation regarding this when we can pass right information? I real do not understand what we are scared of, these children are curious and in the act of their curiosity end up being taken advantage of because they do not have right information. Lets act now and make Reproductive awareness and information a possibility for children.

Did you know that many girls do not have complete and accurate understanding of menstruation as a normal biological process? This calls for menstrual education in our homes, schools and society since educating girls before their first period on menstruation, builds their confidence, contributes to social solidarity and encourages healthy habits as well as help them surpass risks involved in making uninformed sexual reproductive health decision. Also, educating the young boys will prepare them in contributing towards eradicating cultural stereotypes on menstruation.
