Word of the Week...EMPOWER. Ever have words or messages repeatedly come to you? I do and when they do, I listen. This week, it was the word EMPOWER. I love to EMPOWER Family Caregivers to: 🔸 Take care of their own health, not just their family members. 🔸 Learn what they can- knowledge is power when Caregiving. 🔸 Think "outside the box" and be open to new ideas. 🔸 Have difficult conversations with their family 🔸 Have compassion for themselves, knowing they are doing the best they can in a difficult situation. 🔸 Identify when enough is enough and that it is acceptable to ask for help. I can't take away the responsibilities, but I can empower family members to be the best they can be, in their Caregiving role. Happy last Friday of the month, Friends. #WordOfTheWeek #familycaregivers
