Reports in many news articles about humans are not the only species impacted by our planet’s climate crisis. The world’s wildlife and habitats will also face profound, sometimes catastrophic, change. Increases in temperature could trigger the collapse of fragile ecosystems and huge waves of extinction. The choices we make today have the power to reduce the suffering of people and animals in the future. Waiting for your next brief? Why? The world has a long list of them that need tackling right now. Here’s just 5 that get me excited: 🌍 How do we make the language of sustainability more easily understood by more people? 🌏 How do we elevate climate science over misinformation online? 🌏 How do we better activate people of influence to help spread the climate message? 🌎 How do we create an effective and compelling ‘Vote Climate’ campaign for this year’s elections? 🌍 How do we better involve music, sport and fans in the climate debate? All need insightful and compelling creativity and could lead to work that makes a real difference Advertising and marketing has been wired to ‘react’ to product and service briefs set by brands at a time of their choosing. This reactive approach and the subsequent briefs are not going to help us move fast enough on issues that actually matter. Time to get on the front foot. What briefs do you think need answering?
