TEREOS continues to position itself as a leading global player and a key partner in its food, energy and health markets. We are proud to announce that our cooperative recorded another solid performance for the 2023/24 financial year. With revenues up 9% to €7.14 billion and adjusted EBITDA up 15% to €1.13 billion, we confirm the success of the Group's commercial and organisational transformation.   This strong performance allows us to significantly increase the price paid to our cooperative members for beet with a record price of €48.16/t in 2024.   It is also providing a solid baseline to prepare the future: ➡️ An ambitious & differentiating decarbonation plan of -65% CO2 emission scope 1&2 by 2033 (vs 2023) ➡️ A pragmatic deployment of regenerative agriculture with a strong support to our growers and an objective to increase agriculture productivity ➡️ While providing solutions to our customers to accelerate their decarbonation path   I want to salute the agricultural, industrial and commercial performance of our teams. The debate on decarbonising Australian agrifood chains, including carbon sequestration on agricultural holdings, is ongoing, with new ideas and initiatives regularly emerging. My recent preliminary research suggests that unless export market requirements or domestic consumer demands (via supermarket chains) are driving urgency, much of the current focus is on the sequestration component. This makes sense, as selling carbon credits can provide immediate farm revenue. However, if future consumer market requirements for carbon credentials in products and processes can't be met by decarbonising agrifood chains, and long-term carbon sequestration credits are already contracted out, what other levers can be then pulled?
