Did you catch episode 5 of our podcast series 'Debunking ESG Myths'? 🤔 We spoke with Sue Bonney, ex-Head of ESG at KPMG and a Senior Advisor to Rimm. With four decades of experience in integrating sustainability at the heart of every responsible business, Sue gave us a comprehensive look into the corporate world of ESG. Throughout the episode, we unveiled why there is a sudden obsession with ESG and reporting, and how to integrate ESG holistically into businesses to unlock sustainable growth. Speaking on the topic, Sue said: “There is a pre-occupation - some might say obsession - with ESG in the world of corporate businesses I inhabit, which can feel overwhelming and become some sort of compliance end in itself. In our conversation we explore that and talk about how to turn it on its head to become a real driver of long term business success.” 👉 Listen to the full episode now: https://lnkd.in/eujYyVNT #SustainabilityForAll #Podcasts #ESGStrategy #ThoughtLeadership ------------------------------- Our first podcast series 'Debunking ESG Myths', hosted by our CEO Ravi Chidambaram, focuses on forward-thinking thought leadership around well-known and sometimes controversial topics in sustainability. Did you know that it takes between 23-27 touch points to transition a lead into a resident? I didn't! While I may not know the exact number of touch points it takes to transition a team from feeling apprehensive to excited about change, I do know it's my job to guide them there. To help teams embrace change and feel prepared, I focus on: ⭐ Creating a culture of experimentation: Encouraging innovation and new ideas. ⭐ Seeking candid feedback: Constantly asking teams for their honest input. ⭐ Empowering employees: Giving them the autonomy to design transitions that work best for them. ⭐ Being adaptable: Willing to pivot when necessary to meet the needs of the team. ⭐ Providing clarity: Explaining the process so teams understand the expectations. ⭐ Prioritizing pain points: Addressing the most critical issues first to make the transition smoother. ⭐ Allocating time for learning and optimization: Ensuring employees trust they'll be set up for success.
Building a culture of sustainability in senior living takes more than just tossing a few recycling bins around. While residents care about the environment, there are some unique challenges to consider such as unlearning lifetime habits, building knowledge and making it all work financially.
