Just in time for the weekend - new blog post about the connection between music and emotions. I am sure you know that music is this incredible force that has the power to evoke emotions in you – from nostalgia to excitement, joy to feeling sad. But do you know how this happens? Music surely is one of the most beautiful ways to bridge between cultures. Below short TikTok video is such a great example of how the combination of two instruments from two different worlds of music - Cello and Guzheng - can turn an existing piece into something new, surprising, yet harmonic and wonderful, captivating a diverse audience. To hear such a performance, it seems likely that those two musicians 1)    have a very good understanding of their own music instrument  2)    have developed an understanding of the tune and range of the other musician’s instrument 3)    had been open to listen, collaborate and learn from each other 4)    likely practiced quite a lot together and made mistakes in that process 5)    did not try to ‘outperform’ the other but equally gave each other and the sound of their instruments room to shine So much we can reflect upon with regards to our Chinese-German/Western teams: What are the ‘instruments’, i.e. the character strengths of each of your team member? How can you best leverage the differences of the ‘instruments’ in your team? How can you be intentional about practicing collaboration? What is needed, so that they best harmonize together? These days, I have heard many songs created with Suno, and GenAI model that can generate music from prompts. But, yesterday, another competitor appeared in this field. 🎶 I've had the opportunity to play with both of them and have reached the following conclusions:  ● For optimal results, stick to a single music genre and enjoy it.  ● Written lyrics make music sound "cleaner" for both.  ● While Udio may not be as effective in generating lyrics, it excels in melody and vocal quality. In case you have some free time and you want to have fun, try them, as both of them are free right now. #GenAI #innovation #creativity
