💡 Here's an honest question: Why has today's hiring standards in the fashion industry set to only picking candidates with a certain years of work experience? 👩💻 We often miss out on the young, talented minds who are excited to create their mark on the industry. From what I've observed over the years of hiring, it's easier to train a fresher who'd be eager to LEARN new things, than to make an experienced employee who's forced to UNLEARN and then LEARN. ⛷ Let me share Suit Lounge's personal story. Last year, We built our CORE team by hiring freshers from NIFT. We hired a fashion design graduate as our Head Designer, a fashion technology graduate as our Marketing Head, two textile designers as a Graphic Designer and Operations Head respectively. 🧠 The four graduates had impressive projects on their portfolio and I could see their enthusiasm in building a brand from the ground. It was a wild bet and we took it. We hired our power team, and the rest is history..... I still remember the first week the team had joined us, the brand was on its first version of the logo and font. They strategically pointed out the complications that would arise with a complex logo illustration and curvy font that we had created initially. They became an active part of the rebranding process to set the brand image and tone to what it is today. They have each brought in so much value to the brand regardless of them being fresh out of college. 🎓 You don't have to take my word for it. You'll see it with the growth of Suit Lounge. Take the chance with young minds. You'll never know how they might surprise you 🥊 Kudos to my amazing team at Suit Lounge! Let's continue rising together to greater heights! 🚀👏 Take a leap of faith, invest in potential, and witness the remarkable growth of your brand. 🌱💼#TeamSuccess #FreshTalent #InnovationInFashion #SuitLoungeJourney #Customtailoring #Bespoketailoring #Chennai ✨

The real issue faced fresher and senior level designer facing these days while facing interview job post is ui ux designer and required skills ( adobe after effects, Premiere pro, blender, rhino, html, css ).. Recently a colleague shared his experience applying for ui ux designer role, they gave a task for short video creation using premiere pro and after effects. This requirement is for graphic designer but because of demand few recruiter think candidates should extra skills to manage in team. Think of situation 3-4 years of design school degree 3-6 months internship in ui ux designe & product design but the company want one candidates for two roles multi tasking will not work for long run.. designer has different role each role has different responsibilities and each designer is proficient with his own tools. Don't expect graphic designer to do ui ux design. And product designer to work on premier pro or after effects. Hiring managers giving unpaid tests on branding n product design just to valuate the skill of designer... This is undervaluing a candidate, if you want desired candidate for your company role, review their portfolio each individual make effort to prepare their portfolio. Examine their skillset in short interview only if they meet your requirements assign them talk, as you value your time. Value a designer time n effort for dedication on assignment task. Politely inform if the candidate has to improve his portfolio. Do reply to candidate if he DM his work sample don't ignore, someone is waiting for your review and response #graphicdesigner #uiuxdesigner #uiux #figma #adobe #hr #freshers #freshersjobs #bangaloredesigner #engineer #harboo #harbootribe

The Job Description for a UIUX and Graphic Designer is different. Even the salaries and the skillset are also different. Lying in a JD or hiding something in a hiring process is unethical #Redflag. Designers should be aware of these unethical practices done by some small size firms, Mostly freshers and Interns are targeted who are new to the industry. #Here are a few tips for Designers(UIUX, Graphics etc) 1. Always clear out everything about the projects and the roles and responsibilities in an interview. 2. If the Project doesn't add value to your career, start looking out for better options. 3. Do some research and go for it. 4. We need some graphic designing in UIUX but not that much so clear out at an early stage.. 5. Ask about the workflow from start to end. 6. Negotiate well!! Do your own research. #comment #like #UIUXDesign #graphic #redflags #Ethics #designers #freshers #salaries

Media Entrepreneur with 8-Figure INR ARR | Taking Creators’ Video Content to the Next Level | Hiring Video Editors
60% of new people joining our team get promoted within the first year. This isn’t because we’re generous - it’s because they genuinely learn and grow rapidly in their time with us. All me and my leadership team does is set them up to succeed. 1. We don’t just tell our team what to do - we explain why. 2. We take the time to find the right position for each person. 3. We value every person’s opinion, from interns to C-suites execs. 4. We promote from within, instead of hiring externally for leadership roles. 5. We work as friends, not just as colleagues, and have a lot of fun on the way. This is exactly why we have stories of people like: - Jatin, who grew from Video Editor to COO in 2 years. - Kartik, who went from Graphic Designer → Design Lead in 1 year. - Ashutosh, who started as an HR Intern, and is now our Chief of Staff. - Shraddha, was promoted to Team Lead, 4 months after her internship. These people were able to 2-3x their salary in just a couple years. But more importantly, they grew on a personal and professional level at a crazy pace. If this sounds like the culture you want to be a part of, you’re in luck. We just moved to our awesome new office in Chandigarh, and are hiring across the board: Video Editors, Motion Graphic Artists, Content Strategists, Youtube Channel Managers. We help some of the biggest creators in the world with their content, and would have a chance to work with them too. Learn more and apply here: https://lnkd.in/dxWfXg9H P.S. - comment ‘Applied’ so I can check out your profile and connect here too. #hiring #jobopportunity #joinourteam
