LinkedIn just reminded me that I have been at Xvand for 22 years. In reality, it is more like 24 as we started working on a prototype at least a couple of years before Xvand came into existence. I thought about working for 24 years for one company. Boring? Is it my lack of interest? Just stuck? Actually, at some point, I did feel kind of stuck. I was a partner in Xvand but was only performing technical duties. Then things changed and I had to change drastically my contribution to the company. I started working on a business. I will write more about the journey later. It changed things for me and since then it looks like I am working for a new company every couple of months :). So even though I have been with Xvand for a long time, I do not feel that I am missing out and moreover, I see that my contribution is changing things. So to me what matters is to continue challenging oneself and seeing the results of efforts. What are your thoughts on the length of employment in one place?

One year ago, my incredible business partner & friend took a leap that changed her life and URD forever. After 17 years in the corporate world, Meg left behind the security of her career to join URD full-time. To say I’m proud of her is an understatement. While our paths to URD full time were different, Meg’s was a long road of soul searching & careful consideration. She faced every doubt & challenge on her own, ensuring the choice was hers alone. That choice, while tough at times on her, and us, has been the most admirable one I witnessed. Reflecting on this last year, the growth we’ve experienced is thanks to the steady methodical way Meg operates.
