Great advice for startup founders: Build a product that solves a problem that customers are willing to pay for… and then… “…Focus on REAL metrics: → Customer acquisition. → Revenue growth. → Closing a credible lead investor. …progress is about building….” …if you need help building, then carefully screen and apply to accelerator programs… …and avoid participating in accelerator programs full of… ”Mentors”… …who… never… built… a… business… Good advice Francesco!

This morning I saw a pre-seed startup boasting about their 5th completed accelerator... Seriously? 😳 Founders, especially in deeptech, stop collecting accelerators as if they were Olympic medals. Please. Stop. All the energy spent listening to 10 different cohorts of "mentors" who often never built hyperscaling startups every 6 month is a sure ticket to being a zombie business. As for us investors, for governments, and for corporates behind them - let's ask ourselves: Are all these accelerators truly helping startups? Or just adding to the noise? Instead of more accelerators, how about more investments? Or even better, become their first customer. Support their growth by fueling their business, not their presentation skills. How many accelerators does the world really need? Let's prioritise meaningful support over shiny programs. For startups: Focus on real metrics. → Customer acquisition. → Revenue growth. → Closing a credible lead investor. Remember, progress is about building, not just joining. What are your thoughts on the endless accelerator trend? Is this just a new fashion of "me too, I want my accelerator goddamnit"?
