This is positive however I do question really now why a lot of degrees even exist when you can complete an apprenticeship, internship or just learn doing the job. A focus on bringing apprenticeships and degrees in closer alignment would work better.

Its a good first step, however providing parity between apprenticeships/A-levels and T-Levels, and recognising that one model does not fit all will be a crucial second phase requirement if this is initiative is going to really make a difference to peoples lives.

This is very long overdue. This has stopped a lot of my apprentices from progressing onto degree apprenticeships over the last 6 years.

This is a positive and long overdue step forward 👏
