SWEPCO was proud to participate in the inaugural Child Safety Day hosted by the Martin House Child Advocacy Center at the ROC in downtown Longview! Alongside other community partners and Martin House's therapy dog, Rainy Martin, we dedicated our efforts to providing families with essential information on keeping children safe around electricity. 💡 It was a wonderful day of learning and fun as we came together to ensure a safer environment for our kids! #ChildSafetyDay #SWEPCO #CommunityPartners #SafetyFirst

Improved control of speech (i.e. fluency) is a byproduct of those goals!💚 As with most aspects of communication, if you are concerned about your child's stutter, early intervention is recommended! #NSAW #WeStutter #Stuttering #StutteringTherapy

🛡️ 3 Ways Adults Can Model Consent 🛡️ Ask for Permission: Always ask children for permission before hugging or touching them. Show them that their boundaries matter. 💬 Respect Their "No": Teach kids that it's okay to say no and ensure you respect their decision. This empowers them to voice their boundaries confidently. 🚫 Lead by Example: Demonstrate consent in your interactions with others. Children learn by observing the behavior of the adults around them. 🌟 At Family Support Line Children's Advocacy Center, we’re committed to creating a culture of respect and safety for our children. Let's work together to teach and model the importance of consent. #ChildAdvocacy #ModelConsent #RespectBoundaries #EmpowerKids #ParentingTips #HealthyRelationships
