OUR ELDERS: I get it—our industry's elders are often seen as complicit in maintaining outdated mindsets. In many ways, they are part of why we haven't seen the change we desperately need. I've written about this before. But while the "old guard" may seem like an obstacle, their experience, knowledge, and wisdom are invaluable to our industry’s future. As Reagan (channelling Cicero) said: "If it was not for the elders correcting the mistakes of the young, there would be no state." Cicero’s original quote translates to: "You will find the greatest states, shaken by the youth, upheld and restored by the old." We need a shake-up in the construction industry, but we can't succeed without our veterans’ support. Building trust and bridging generational gaps requires investment in relationships and communication. Instead of asking "why," let’s ask "why not?" There's nothing to lose—and everything to gain. At Constructors Guild™, we are committed to facilitating these discussions and ensuring valuable knowledge transfer between generations. The cost of inaction is clear: lost opportunities, reduced productivity, and money. We owe it to ourselves—and our industry—not to let that happen. If this vision resonates with you, we’re looking for like-minded people. DM me, or visit the link in the comments below.👇 #community #construction #constructionindustry #constructorsguild

Exciting times for Denver’s South Platte River! 🌊 Did you know the river is undergoing a significant transformation with a $550 million investment partnership between Denver and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers? The focus is on restoring the river’s ecological health, reducing flood risks, and enhancing its value as a community asset. A new Denver City Council committee, the South Platte River Committee, is ensuring that sustainable development and community engagement are at the forefront. This includes representation from Chicano and Indigenous communities, recognizing the river’s historical significance. Key projects include the River Mile project, transforming the National Western campus into a vibrant community space, and the mixed-use complex in Sun Valley, with an investment of $500,000 from the Denver Housing Authority. These are just two of the 13 ongoing projects aimed at making the river a premier destination in Denver. Council President Amanda Sandoval envisions a sustainable and active community hub, with a river walk and destinations that make the river central to Denver's narrative. How do you think these developments will impact Denver’s housing market and investment opportunities? #ColoradoApartments #SouthPlatteRiver #DenverRealEstate #CommunityDevelopment #SustainableLiving

Check out the progress in Prince William CRE! The Prince William County (PWC) Economic Development reports that the county is experiencing significant investment, particularly in its eastern Potomac Communities along the I-95 Defense Corridor. Over $500 million in infrastructure improvements, including road widening along U.S. Route 1, are boosting development in this area, which is strategically located near Washington, D.C. and key military bases. The county offers various opportunities for businesses, with a strong focus on mixed-use development in areas like Innovation Park and Sudley Road, along with incentives for investment in Opportunity Zones. PWC is actively working to attract federal and defense workers by promoting affordable housing and quality of life. Commercial real estate options in PWC cater to both small and large businesses. The Gainesville/I-66 market is experiencing rapid growth with a mix of suburban and commercial development, including Innovation Park and Sudley Road. The Woodbridge/I-95 market, home to the county's largest population, is known for its concentration of defense contractors and offers prime opportunities in sub-markets like North Woodbridge and Dale City. If you're looking to explore the growing commercial real estate potential in Prince William County, let's connect and discuss how HannaCRE can assist with your commercial real estate needs. https://lnkd.in/gRrpASHb

Enjoyed the GOVChats: Georgia + Colorado discussion! I want to commend Jasmyne Epps for emphasizing how accessibility isn't just about physical disabilities, but situational as well (sensory, motor, cognitive, environmental, etc.) This perspective of accessibility is often overlooked during the design and development process. How can we do better? By spreading awareness. Share with your designers, developers, and project managers. Let's do our part to make websites and applications more accessible to everyone.
