The introductory course is designed to provide students with an initial awareness of international principles, guidelines, and standards on responsible business conduct (RBC). Key questions the course will unpack - What does Responsible Business Conduct mean? - What are the main principles, guidelines and standards that underpin responsible business conduct? - What roles do companies, states and international organizations play to deliver on expectations regarding responsible business conduct? - What are potential employment opportunities for new graduates in the field of RBC? Evelyn Dietsche brings over 25 years of operational and advisory experience. She has held different roles and undertaken many different assignments for the companies, international organisations, multilateral and bilateral development agencies, and non-governmental organisations. After four years leading a portfolio and program at swisspeace, she now serves as an Associate Fellow while her main role is that of serving as a Member on the World Bank’s Inspection Plan. NEWAL, the network for water and life, is a swissuniversities' funded network of Swiss higher education institutions and three universities in West Africa (KNUST Ghana, CSRS Ivory Coast, UMU Liberia). The network focuses on joint capacity development (students exchange, seasonal schools) and applied research.
