George East takes on Movember! 🧔♂️ George is stepping up Movember this year, and with the finest moustache in the office, it’s safe to say he’s smashing it so far 🏆 Hear what George himself has to say about why he’s taking part and what Movember means to him: “I do Movember because it always gets people talking, especially previous years when I’ve dyed my moustache or had events during the same time as doing the campaign. It’s something I’m a big advocate of, lots of my mates are bearded (or at least fluffy) and it’s something I try to push. If you can feel confident in talking about a dodgy moustache, then it’s worth raising awareness and money for. For me I’m bearded all year, so my friends, peers and family sometimes don’t recognise me which always makes a funny appearance when I show my face. What I love about the month is the freedom, and it brings community, I tend to choose a different charity yearly, like the last few years, I’ve chose MIND due to the decaying mental health in people of my demographic and hearing and seeing the impact it has around me. Knowing people are directly impacted by this and have to live with the consequences of acts that people don’t get the support for makes you want to do anything you can to help, and even growing some questionable facial hair makes a difference, whether it’s finically or just gets people talking. This is also applicable to the Movember charity which I have picked this year.” Verto is right behind you, George! 💪 If you’d like to support George and this fantastic cause, find the donation link in the comments below ⬇️ #movember #mensmentalhealth #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness

The data’s in for Beat (our eating disorder charity client) 👀 Since working with them on: ✅ Eating Disorder Awareness Week fundraising campaigns ✅ Promoting their Challenge events and professional workshops, and ✅ Raising brand awareness for their services They’ve seen: 📈 Paid social become their top source of owned media traffic to their site. 📈 A 53% increase in all clicks on Meta and LinkedIn. 📈 A 98% increase in click-through rates. 📈 A 22% decrease in cost per click. We've got extra creative with this one. Including using targeted, highly localised advertising on Spotify to communicate with hard-to-reach audiences with great success (*whispers* check out my brightonSEO talk next Thursday to learn more). We are very proud of our work with Beat! 👏 For more on what we did, how, and why, check the comments! ⬇️

Movember - Week 2. I started a little late this year but hopping to catch up soon. I was listening to Shawna, Ryan and Johnny on Q107 in Toronto this morning. Shawna had observed that there seems to be a lot of adds poking fun at guys who may be less than the ideal "manly" best. What does that even mean? The concept of being a man shouldn't be defined by physical attributes anymore. In fact, the focus should just be on becoming an awesome human being. So, of course, get your prostate checked 👆🏾, colonoscopy, testicles 🥜 and add in dermatologist to check your moles or other skin abnormalities. All of that stuff should be set as calendar reminders so we can catch anything early. I think that's the stuff that's become more common now, although still needs some work. The bigger part, which ties into our physical state, is our mental state. Guys shouldn't feel like we need to bottle everything up, push it deep, and just push on. Anything left in a pressurized state for too long ultimately blows up. Share your thoughts and fears with your partner, friends, therapist, someone as eventually you'll feel better for it. Find positive outlets like exercise, especially with friends or anything social. Check in on friends, share with them and see what you might get back. If you see a bro with a Mo, hopefully you'll think about some of this. If you can, donate to a Movember campaign. Every little bit helps. https://lnkd.in/gAFr8HZ

If science says it’s good, we should probably do it 😉 Ever noticed how small acts of kindness can completely change someone’s day? Turns out, it changes your day too. Science tell us that being generous triggers the happy brain chemicals, dopamine and oxytocin. I saw this in action recently with a friend of and her kids. Walking into a store my friend's kids immediately spotted a Kindness Collective Foundation bin out the front, filled with toys from generous shoppers. Her kids immediately started asking for some of the toys they could see, trying to grab them out. She explained to them that it wasn’t there to take toys from, it was there to put toys into, for kids who might not get any otherwise. Their initial reaction of being upset at not getting the toys, changed to excitement 😀 when my friend let her kids choose a small toy each to add to the bin on their way out. When people are given an easy way to give back – like while shopping – it’s not just about the donation. It’s about connection 🫶 Customers love knowing their purchase is helping someone in need, and that ripple effect is real. Generosity isn’t just a feel-good moment; it’s good business too. It builds loyalty, lifts average order value, and makes shopping more meaningful. So, here’s a thought: What if every transaction had the power to make a difference?

Here we go again. Another Mo Season is coming up and I'm calling on you - to support my silly efforts. This year I'm aiming to raise $1500 with your support. This will bring your backing of my numerous efforts to well over $11,000 which is kinda unreal. The ask this year is super simple. Any donation gets you a vote on what 'look' I will receive on the 15th of Movember. Why the 15th? Because a day or 2 later, I head to Canberra to represent Movember, and what better way to wake up our nation's elected officials than by having an extremely loud and outrageous look. I don't just do this as I have to. I'm genuinely passionate about the work Movember does. In particular this year as Movember has announced $60 million worth of funding for indigenous run and led initiatives globally ($17M of that here in AU) in order to combat the disproportionate effect that poor mental health and wellbeing has on first nations communities. Secondly, the work is funding in the healthy relationships and masculinities space. Movember - with its unique connection to men across Australia has such an opportunity to play a role in reducing gender based violence. You only need to look at social media to see that there are a lot of negative/unhelpful masculinities perpetuated that prey on young people's vulnerabilities. This, amongst a myriad of other factors, is leading to truly shocking gender based violence outcomes in Australia. So , I'm starting things off by doing 2 donations of 50 bucks to look C (love you Djibril). All you need to do is donate and comment which look you'd like to vote for. This system can be easily manipulated, but I'm literally your SIM character for donations. Lock in your vote by donating here - https://lnkd.in/gARaV4Df Beyond that - if you want to get hairy this Mo Season, just reach out and I can help you along your way!

I'm taking part in Movember (yes, the beard is gone!) to raise awareness and funds for the mental health of male business owners. Every Wednesday 15:00 to 17:00 our pool room is open to any business owners who wants to chill out from the burdens of business ownership (and if you want to talk, we can do too!). I'd appreciate any donations... link to donate to Movember in the comments, or scan the QR code on the poster. Having worked closely with male business owners and through my own experience of running a business, there is a stereotype that we must always be strong, stoic, and in control. This makes it hard to express emotions or seek help. The demands of running a business can be isolating, leading to feelings of loneliness. By addressing these stereotypes and encouraging open discussions about mental health, we can break down barriers and provide the support we all need.

"Have you noticed, as we grow older, Christmas shifts from being excited and waiting for gifts to mostly giving them to our kids, nephews, parents—the list goes on. It quickly starts to feel like it’s not just looking but costing a lot like Christmas! But why does this time still feel so fulfilling? Society teaches us to save, plan, and be cautious about money, but Christmas invites us to step away from those values and live from our hearts. When we focus on giving—not just material gifts but time, love, and care—we allow ourselves to be guided by something deeper: the divine spirit of love that dwells in us. It’s not about getting closer to God but releasing God’s presence into the world through our actions. Focusing on getting—whether it’s possessions or recognition—can weigh us down, keeping us trapped in worldly concerns. But when we give, we’re freed from those constraints, aligning with God’s call to love others selflessly. That’s where the true magic of Christmas lies—not in the gifts but in the transformation of our hearts. This season reminds us that the joy of giving isn’t just for Christmas. What if we embraced this spirit every day, letting love lead our lives instead of plans and possessions? The result could be a life filled with the true joy of Christmas, all year round." - Nataliya Osipova, founder of our Charity Partner, Evolve Help Ukraine This Christmas, be transformed by generosity and let its spirit live on every day of the year! #TransformativeGiving #Christmas #Generosity

We are one week into Movember and moving and grooving straight through the month! Movember is so important to me because they actively work to support men and have the hard conversations around men and mental health. Some of my best and core memories are centred around the amazing men (father, brothers, friends, etc) in my life. I couldn’t imagine my life without the presence and influence of these guys. These men are strong, hardworking, and tough. They are also are also fun, creative, silly, kind, and caring. But not everybody gets to see this side of the men in their lives. We have created a narrative in which we expect our men to have it all together all the time. We have created a narrative that the only appropriate emotion for a man to show is anger. We have created a narrative that men can’t ask for help. As a result, our men are suffering. Men are less likely to seek mental health treatment than women. Globally, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day. Males account for 69% of all suicides. Our men are suffering in silence and are dying too young. Full stop. That is why I fundraise for Movember. That is why I Move. And that is why I’m hoping you will donate to my or my teams fundraising page to support the men in your life! https://lnkd.in/e745uYB

Did you know that 1.5 million kids in the US are sleeping on the floor? A few months ago, I connected with Josh Polgardi on LinkedIn. We got talking, and I dove into what his company, Luff Sheets is all about. What I found? It’s not just about getting a good night’s sleep. It’s about giving kids the same chance. 1.5 million kids in the US are sleeping on the floor. But Luff Sheets is changing that. For every sheet set sold, they donate one to organizations that build beds for these kids. That’s real impact, and so far, these organizations are delivering 100,000 beds each year. 🥹 But let’s make it even bigger. I’m challenging creators to join me in the #LuffUpChallenge: 1. Buy a set of Luff Sheets and they’ll donate a set to a child in need. 2. Then, share your purchase, tag your network, and challenge them to do the same. 3. Let’s show what a difference something as simple as a good night’s sleep can make! Tagging Nat Berman, Hugh Meyer, Luke Matthews and Moe Choice — are you in? It’s easy: do good, sleep well, and challenge your audience to do the same. And if you haven’t checked them out yet, here’s what you’re getting: • Insanely soft & breathable • Cooling & moisture-wicking • Hypoallergenic & OEKO-TEX® certified • 5-star reviews, every time They just donated their first $1,100 worth of sheets to Chattanooga’s local Sleep in Heavenly Peace chapter last week, changing the lives of 55 kids in Tennessee! This is just the beginning. It’s time to Luff Up and give back. Head to fallinluff.com 💗 Do good, sleep well. #ThisIsNotAnAd #IJustLuffIt --- P.S This is what LinkedIn and community is all about, supporting each-other! If you can't afford to purchase one right now, as Jasmin Alić always says, you can promote others for $0. Because every time you leave a comment (even a quick comment) on somebody's post, you are actually: 1. Promoting their brand 2. Promoting their business 3. Bringing them to new people Your comment is either a referral or an introduction. commenting = supporting ❤️ (Repost this for others, please ♻️)
