🚧 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐬: 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐯𝐬. 𝐄𝐏𝐂 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 🚧 A common challenge on-site is balancing concrete workability adjustments between the consultant and EPC field staff. From my understanding: ✅ 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: It’s acceptable within the first 15 minutes after production, but the added water 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐖/𝐂) 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨. This makes adjusting workability on-site using water challenging, as we must adhere to strict criteria. 🔧 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬: The better approach is to adjust workability with 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬, as per the TDS guidelines and within permissible limits. These adjustments are only valid 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞. ⚠️ 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐥: Even with the technical right to make changes, adjustments can only happen if the 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. Collaboration and communication are key to ensuring quality and compliance! 🏗️👷♂️ #Construction #ConcreteWorkability #QualityControl #SiteManagement #CivilEngineering
