A 5-year-old female Shih Tzu presented with complaints of vaginal discharge, anorexia, and dullness. Upon physical examination, we observed similar signs and symptoms, including vaginal pus-like discharge, high fever, reduced appetite, and progressive weight loss. Diagnostic tests revealed: - CBC: increased WBCs and neutrophils - Ultrasound: fluid-like material in the uterus, suggestive of pus Based on these findings, we suspected pyometra and decided to perform an ovariohysterectomy (OVH) under general anesthesia. Intraoperatively, we confirmed pus accumulation in the uterus (pyometra), as seen in the video.
