I am announcing another article on my website (Articles in Opposition to Young-Earth Creationism) which is #124. Its title is: “Critique of article: “A Scientific Paradigm for the Genesis Flood” by Ted and Kenneth Noel.” These two investigators are from another Christian sect, and they want to make the Bible into a science textbook, using geography and weather conditions in their explanations. But the Bible was written to give good theology and not to teach how the universe, the Earth, and all life were created. My article explains why their thinking is in error and why the Bible can still be the inspired Word of God. If you are a serious researcher, student, scholar, or curious reader, you should select the library packages that suite your needs. We have various discounts and promotions available on books, library packages, etc. “Science” today is riddles with incredibly bad concepts that could not possibly be true. Professor McCanney not only exposes these myths, but replaces it with logical scientific principle. Standard science that is constantly posted for the public is really what we call “Tier 2” science. It is meant to keep the public ignorant of the true nature of outer space and the planet we live on. Tier 3 outreach people pose as the top layer of science in TV specials, glossy magazines and are ever present on the internet. The most complete package is the “Science Education K-12 University Program” which includes all of the book’s CDs, DVDs and lectures plus hundreds of hours of well- designed lectures on specific topics in a well-organized education program. NESA Center alumna Charani Charithma Patabendige recently authored a chapter on "Digital Peacebuilding: Path Towards Reconciliation" in "The Horizon Review Issue 2: Global Perspectives from the International Students Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference." The issue features selected papers presented at the 2nd International Students Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference held on 14 July 2024. Read the abstract below. >> Abstract: Society at present is facing numerous challenges and risks due to the complicated nature of wars and conflicts. War has shifted from traditional dimensions to nonconventional formats where wars happen on virtual platforms, including social media. Due to these reasons, peacebuilding efforts toward reconciliation need to have a holistic approach rather than becomes more relevant and practical. Even though digital peacebuilding emerges as a promising approach, leveraging technology to foster reconciliation, it comes with its own set of challenges. Therefore, the researcher aims to analyze the potential of digital peacebuilding in reconciliation efforts as its research problem. The research questions are: What constitutes digital peacebuilding? Which case studies demonstrate its successes? What challenges does it face? The researcher has utilized a qualitative methodology, and both primary and secondary data are included. Primary data is gathered through key informants selected via purposive sampling, while secondary data is gathered from books, journals, and conference proceedings. Findings suggest that while digital peacebuilding has achieved notable successes, it also encounters significant risks and challenges such as social media warfare and information warfare. The conclusion emphasizes the necessity of striking a balance between these risks to harness the full potential of digital peacebuilding for sustainable reconciliation. #NESACenterAlumni #DigitalPeacebuilding #UnconventionalWars https://lnkd.in/dvisudsD

I am proudly sharing memories from the #academic #conference "State and the Anthroposcene era", held on 9-10-11 April 2024 by Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences and the Hellenic Association of Environmental History, discussing the issue of #digital_citizenship in the #metaverse realm, evaluating possible perspectives and risks, in the light of current #political #philosophy scientific trends. It was a great opportunity to share my thoughts in a multidisciplinary panel and further communicate my #research! The abstract is available as an upload in my #researchgate (https://lnkd.in/d9JCE9qm) and #academia (https://lnkd.in/dJr5BDcj) profile pages.

Progress and conservation, which appear to oppose each other, are in fact necessary to explore the multitude of things in their unity. One without the other is meaningless and insufficient to describe nature in its entirety. The synthesis between the two may be impossible, and perhaps it should remain so, but it must exist as an ideal or rather as a quest. There are no progressives on one side and conservatives on the other because we all embody a bit of both. What distinguishes between two schools of thought (for example, idealism and realism) or two metaphysical approaches to the world is the subtle connection between several complementary aspects of the same reality, which forms a profound worldview. The way we employ this complementarity may truly define a school of thought, rather than the predominant direction of the thought itself. In other words, our manner of nuanced thinking defines our thought. I am announcing a new article on my website, #131, that is co-authored by Lorence Collins and Andrew Petto. Its title is “Science and Bible Translations.” It is a short read – just 12 pages long. Many people want to make the Bible also into a science textbook when it was written only to give good theology. We point out that it needs to be read with wisdom and what it contains is based on the culture of the Hebrew people when they lived 6,000 years ago and did not have the science knowledge that modern people have today. Some Christians say that it was written against “so-called science” when its authors are really saying that it was written against “false, fake, or so-called knowledge.” The article provides links to articles that show that those people who promote young-Earth creationism (YEC) in which Noah’s flood was worldwide and deposited the sedimentary layers in the Grand Canyon about 4,450 years ago have chosen data that fit what they want to believe and ignored data that do not fit. These articles show the science errors made by the YEC and that none of the YEC has refuted the correct science provided by Collins. The article can be accessed at the following link.
