Here is my latest article published by Forbes Human Resources Council - Show Leaders that Inclusion Skills Training is a Good Investment. I produced this piece because when it comes to workplace DEI training a common point of resistance we still hear from some organisations is that it is not considered a useful investment of time- both by leaders and their employers. However the reverse is true! The most progressive organisations Symmetra (https://lnkd.in/gMvJCRQe) works with, who want to ensure their leadership can thrive, are smartly equipping them with a skill set that goes beyond traditional management, which recognises that inclusion skills has become a key requirement, highly relevant to the everyday challenges that all their leaders are tackling today. Read about why inclusion skills has become a key requirement for future- fit leaders and the two main actions you can take to get the best ROI on Inclusion skills training. https://lnkd.in/g_xbndXa #inclusionskillstraining #inclusion #DEI #leadership

If you read one thing today, I invite you to read this thoughtful essay and call to action by Dr. Patrice S. Johnson on how to be a nurturing leader. I was especially struck by how she refers to those she leads as people in her 'professional care.' It’s such a simple concept—as leaders, we’re entrusted with the responsibility of nurturing, guiding, motivating, and elevating our teams. I hope more leaders at all levels take a page from her book on compassionate leadership, because I know I’m taking notes. "I invite you to consider the way you lead and ask you to choose this challenge, unlock greatness in the people in your professional care by ensuring a safe space for them to grow, removing barriers to their success, and being intentional about planting the seeds they need today to be someone else' nurturing leader tomorrow." And guess what? Nurturing leadership isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s the revolution we’ve been waiting for.
