🚀 Delighted to share our recent strides in Artificial Intelligence! 🚀 I'm thrilled to announce the publication of three groundbreaking research papers that showcase our commitment to advancing the frontiers of AI in various domains. 1️⃣ EcoGen: Fusing Generative AI and Edge Intelligence for Sustainable Scalability:** Our first paper delves into the intersection of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and edge-cloud computing. We introduce EcoGen, a collaborative framework that facilitates bidirectional knowledge flow between GenAI and Edge Intelligence (EI), aiming for sustainable scalability. By addressing challenges in energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, EcoGen paves the way for a more sustainable AI ecosystem. 2️⃣ Enhancing Neural Language Models: A Comprehensive Approach with Tensorized Transformer and Over-Parameterization:** In our second paper, we present novel strategies to enhance the performance and efficiency of neural language models. Through multi-linear attention with Block-Term Tensor Decomposition and over-parameterization techniques, we achieve significant parameter compression while maintaining or surpassing performance compared to traditional Transformer models. These advancements open avenues for efficiently scaling language models without compromising inference latency. 3️⃣ TransBERT Polymer Informatics: A Fusion of Transformer Language Modeling and Machine-Driven Chemistry for Accelerated Property Predictions:** Our third paper introduces TransBERT, a pioneering framework in polymer informatics. By capitalizing on the capabilities of Transformer language models, TransBERT offers unparalleled efficiency in predicting polymer properties. Through the integration of TransPolymer and polyBERT, we present a robust computational tool poised to propel the fields of polymer design and structure-property relationship understanding. Special Thanks to Pratham Taneja, Daamini Batra, Arya S. I invite you to explore these research papers to learn more about our contributions to AI innovation. What will the future be in 2025 or 2030? How will tech and trends entangle to drive new growth opportunities in your industries and markets? As you enter the "strategic" part of 2024 to plan the unknown, an "outside in" perspective will go a long way to subtly manage inherent internal biases in your team/organisation. P.S: couldn't help but notice - 2024 Nobel prize for Physics and Chemistry have gone to stalwarts linked to AI/Machine Learning. Maybe, by 2030, AI/ML linked stalwarts could also be linked to Nobel prize for world peace. #frostandsullivan #future #tech #trends #growth #nobelprize #ai #machinelearning

What AI can do for science? “AI in Science” - a policy brief from the European Commission answers this question, but also contains a lot of other interesting content: AI is changing the scientific landscape at every stage of research, assisting researchers, making predictions (learning from trends, correlations, patterns), automating tasks (literature review processing, summarizing papers, mining historic literature archives, using self-driving labs), processing large-scale data (also improving its quality), as well as automating reports, visualizations or summaries. According to the report: “AI is likely to be the main driver of discovery and innovation in the future...” Through Horizon Europe and the Digital Europe program the Commission is investing €1 billion per year in AI. The EU wants to create the framework and conditions for excellent and trustworthy AI. It seeks not only to adapt available AI tools for science, but to build AI tools dedicated to the needs of researchers. The report also emphasizes the need to train non-AI scientists in computational and data-handling skills to skillfully integrate AI into their work (so-called “hybrid skills”). Also key is data access (open science, open data, FAIR, reuse of data, interoperability), access to AI tools and computer resources, as well as funding for data annotation/labeling. AI is not meant to replace researchers, but to amplify human abilities. "The expertise, judgement, creativity, and critical thinking of human scientists remain crucial to maintaining the integrity and reliability of scientific work." Public-private collaboration in AI-powered R&D is necessary, as is academic-industry collaboration. “In order to remain competitive at EU and global level, university and research departments need to prepare their organisational processes, staff and researchers for more intense use of AI in science and increased cross-displinary work”.
