BIMHanoi Completes 760m Viaduct Project with Advanced BIM Solutions We are excited to announce the completion of BIMHanoi's latest project—a 760-meter-long viaduct. This project is a testament to our commitment to innovation and the power of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in transforming infrastructure design. BIM Applications in the Project: - Bridge Design: We utilized Tekla and Revit for the detailed structural design of the viaduct, ensuring precision and efficiency in modeling all components. - Road Design: Civil3D was applied to design the surrounding roadways, allowing for seamless integration with the bridge structure and accurate earthwork calculations. But what truly set this project apart was our innovative use of BIM for environmental analysis. We conducted a thorough sun shadow study using the BIM model to assess the impact of the bridge's shadow on the surrounding community throughout the year. By analyzing how sunlight and shadow would affect the local environment in different seasons, we were able to design in harmony with the natural surroundings and minimize any adverse effects on the local residents' living conditions. Key Benefits of BIM in this Project: - Streamlined coordination between disciplines, reducing design clashes and construction delays. - Enhanced environmental impact analysis, promoting sustainability and community well-being. - Precise visualization of the project at every stage, allowing stakeholders to make informed decisions. At BIMHanoi, we continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in infrastructure design through cutting-edge BIM technology. We are proud to contribute to the creation of efficient, sustainable, and community-friendly projects. #BIM #Infrastructure #BridgeDesign #Tekla #Revit #Civil3D #Sustainability #SunShadowAnalysis #Innovation #ConstructionTechnology #BIMHanoi

Over a Norwegian river, the Randselva Bridge isn't just concrete and steel.... it's a testament to the transformative power of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in infrastructure. This 634-meter marvel stands out for being built entirely without traditional 2D drawings – a first for a bridge of this scale! For project managers (PM), BIM became the ultimate bridge builder itself. It fostered seamless collaboration by creating a central 3D model – a single source of truth. Designers visualized the entire structure, identifying potential clashes early on and ensuring smooth integration with the environment. PMs leveraged this model to streamline workflows and optimize construction sequencing. BIM's magic goes beyond collaboration. It acted as a proactive guardian against errors. Automated clash detection identified conflicts between elements before they became real-world problems, saving time and resources. Efficiency soared with BIM. Tasks like generating bar bending lists were automated, freeing up valuable human resources and minimizing human error. Sustainability wasn't an afterthought. The BIM model facilitated informed decisions on material usage and construction methods, promoting eco-friendly practices throughout the project. The Randselva Bridge isn't just an infrastructure marvel; it's a BIM triumph. It showcases how BIM empowers PMs to deliver complex projects efficiently, sustainably, and on time. #BIM (#BuildingInformationModeling) #RandselvaBridge #Infrastructure #Norway #ProjectManagement #ConstructionTechnology #DigitalTwins #SustainableConstruction #TheFutureisBIM #structuralengineering #civilengineering #Clashdetection #preconstruct #bridgeengineering #bridges #transportationengineering #collaboration

In today’s BIM world, a 3D model of drainage and utilities is becoming a necessity. However, road design, drainage design, and utility modelling are often done by separate teams, with different software. This siloed approach can lead to a lack of coordination between disciplines, costly mistakes from out-of-date data, and missed opportunities to find and address conflicts.
