🚀 Just finished an incredible talk by Simon Sinek on how leaders inspire action, and I'm feeling inspired! 🌟 Sinek introduces the concept of the Golden Circle, which is a powerful framework for understanding how great leaders communicate. It all starts with the fundamental question: "Why?" 🔍 Why - This is the core belief that drives everything an organization does. It’s about purpose and passion, and it resonates deeply with both teams and customers. ➡️ How - These are the processes and values that distinguish us. It’s what makes our approach unique and effective in delivering on our "Why." 📦 What - This is the tangible product or service we provide. While this is often the focus, Sinek emphasizes that starting with "What" is not enough for true inspiration. The most compelling leaders and organizations begin with "Why," and this approach fosters loyalty and drives innovation. If you lead with your purpose, you won’t just attract customers—you’ll inspire them! Let’s embody this philosophy in our leadership styles and strive to connect with our teams and audiences on a deeper level. 💡💪 #Leadership #SimonSinek #GoldenCircle #Inspiration #Motivation #PurposeDriven https://lnkd.in/dfZhNWHj

🌟 Today, I had the pleasure of watching an incredibly inspiring TED Talk by 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐤 titled "𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐡𝐲." It left me with profound insights on leadership and motivation. In the talk, Simon highlights the importance of understanding and communicating the "Why" behind our actions. He explains that great leaders and organizations start with "Why" - their purpose, cause, or belief that inspires them to do what they do. This fundamental concept can drive deeper connections, greater loyalty, and a more passionate pursuit of goals. Here are a few takeaways that resonated with me: 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭: People don't buy what you do; they buy why you do it. When we lead with our purpose and values, we attract those who believe what we believe. 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Leaders who start with "Why" inspire action and innovation. They create environments where people feel valued and driven to contribute. 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐲: Building trust and loyalty isn't about having the best product or service; it's about connecting with people on a deeper level through shared values and beliefs. As I reflect on this, I am motivated to apply these principles in my personal and professional life. I aim to focus more on the "Why" behind my actions and decisions, ensuring they align with my core values and inspire those around me. If you haven't seen this talk yet, I highly recommend it. It's a powerful reminder of the impact of purpose-driven leadership. Just stumbled upon an absolute gem of a TED Talk by Simon Sinek, I totally recommend you watch it too! Simon created this concept of the Golden Rule, where companies define their value proposition to drive sales and retain talent. It was considered by many a game-changer! 💼✨ One thing that resonated with me was Simon's definition of leadership: "Leadership is the awesome responsibility to see those around us rise, to do everything in our power to help them rise." 🌟 It's all about servant leadership—serving others' dreams rather than just focusing on the bottom line. When it comes to leadership, there are no experts, just perpetual students. Being a high executive doesn't automatically make you a leader. It's about having the courage to believe in people, to take risks, and to lead with conviction. Simon emphasizes the importance of aligning values: "The goal is not to do business with everybody who needs what you have; the goal is to do business with people who believe what you believe." 💡 So, when building your dream team, remember, it's not just about skills—it's about shared beliefs. Hire those who believe in your mission, and you'll witness dedication like never before. I find it incredibly rewarding when I am lucky enough to collaborate with clients who deeply grasp the underlying purpose (the WHY) of their company. It's like they possess an inspiring internal motivation that fuels their loyalty and gets them out of bed every morning. Remember, as Simon Sinek famously said: “People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.” I am very curious to learn if people truly understand the 'why' of their companies, what motivates you to jump out of bed every morning? Please share in the comments. 🚀 #Leadership #SimonSinek #GoldenRule #PurposeDrivenLeadership https://lnkd.in/erezAyGH

What happens when leaders make you feel safe? According to management theorist Simon Sinek, a key to great leadership lies in creating an environment of trust and safety. In a past TED talk, he emphasizes the importance of leaders who prioritize the well-being and safety of their team members. When employees feel safe and valued, they are more likely to take risks, make sacrifices, and contribute selflessly to the organization. Sinek highlights that when leaders prioritize the safety and belonging of their team, remarkable things begin to unfold. Trust and safety not only foster individual growth but also cultivate a culture of collaboration and innovation within the organization. Do you know or work for a leader who embodies this ethos of servant leadership? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below. #leadership #servantleadership

Finding Purpose in Leadership In our journey to create meaningful connections and inspire action, it's essential to understand the "why" behind our efforts. His insights into the Golden Circle remind us that understanding our "why" is the key to driving passion and commitment in ourselves and others. It's not just about what we do, but why we do it. This message is incredibly relevant for anyone in leadership, event planning, or any role that involves guiding and motivating others. Great leaders inspire action by starting with Why. In his book Start with Why, Simon Sinek explains that the most successful organizations and leaders don’t just focus on what they do, but why they do it. By communicating their purpose and beliefs first, they connect on a deeper level with employees, customers, and followers. Sinek’s "Golden Circle" framework—Why, How, and What—shows that when we begin with a clear purpose, we inspire loyalty and drive action. Apple, for example, doesn’t just sell products; they sell a belief in challenging the status quo and empowering individuals. The takeaway: People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it. Leadership is about inspiring action through purpose, not just products. #Leadership #Inspiration #StartWithWhy #SimonSinek

I recently came across a Ted Talk on "How Great Leaders Inspire Action" by Simon Sinek. In this talk, Sinek introduces his idea of the "Golden Circle," which describes how leaders are able to inspire action in our world and incite change by leading with "the why" (as opposed to just "the what" or "the how") Sinek begins with the fundamental premise behind his Golden Circle framework: Great organizations and leaders lead other people with "Why" (their purpose, cause, or beliefs). In contrast, most people and organizations start with "What" (the goods and services they offer) and "How" (the process they use or the values they incorporate to differentiate themselves). According to Sinek, "to start with 'why' is so important, because it connects directly with people's feelings and values and results in higher motivation and loyalty." Sinek is especially clear at the end of the talk when he raises the difference between leadership which is much more than order and task management, it is about creating inspiration by leading with your values and beliefs. In conclusion, Simon Sinek's talk suggests that effective had a lot to do with sharing and modeling the purpose behind actions, instead of dealing with performance and the underlying details of commitment to do one's values and beliefs. The Key Takeaways are : •The Golden Circle Framework •Starting with "Why" •Inspiration vs. Manipulation •Leadership and Culture https://lnkd.in/g_26eVnS #HowGreatLeadersInspireAction #SimonSinek #AlenThomas #Sahasra #MBAAUG2024 MACFAST (Mar Athanasios College for Advanced Studies Tiruvalla) Dr. Sudeep B. Hello #LinkedIn! This morning, I watched a video on YouTube to discover what type of leadership makes people go the extra mile and achieve the expected results. As I listened, I was deeply impacted. Among the many valuable insights, one transformed my perspective: to stop seeing people as "head count" and start seeing them as "heart count." This approach is based on the idea that if employees feel secure in their position and within the organization, their instinctive reaction will be trust and cooperation. This, in turn, makes it highly likely to achieve the desired objectives. I invite you to watch the video, and I hope it broadens your perspective, just as it did for me to become a better leader.
