Pharmacies as we know them today will vanish by 2030 Your local pharmacy will become more than just a place to pick up prescriptions It will be the health hub of your community (and the future of primary care) Patients, on average Visit their pharmacy 35 times a year while They only visit their doctors 4 times a year Multiple surveys have shown that Patients are confident in receiving care from pharmacists (and pharmacists love providing it) The future of community pharmacy will have Pharmacists integrated within the healthcare team Pharmacists and Physicians working together = Better health outcomes Pharmacists will go from Transactional meetings at the counter To Having routine interactions with patients Reviewing, Optimizing and Synchronizing medications This will: - Impact treatment outcomes - Lower healthcare costs - Help identify adherence barriers The future of pharmacy looks bright And we are just getting started What’s your vision for the future of community pharmacy? We’re disappointed by the Department of Health and Social Care’s decision to postpone the promised changes to hub and spoke dispensing, which was due to take effect in January. This change to dispensing regulation will enable a choice for independent pharmacies that they’ve not previously had. It’s a choice which we believe passionately will make a huge impact to not only independent pharmacies but also their patients. And it’s why we’ve created HubRx -www.hubrx.co.uk - the UK’s first, large-scale automated dispensing facility designed solely for independents. By not progressing in January or providing a revised date for delivering this change, yet again independent community pharmacies are being denied access to a capacity-creation service that could help them deliver the NHS Pharmacy First volumes many are struggling to meet. In our own pharmacies, HubRx has released an average of 15 hours per day of pharmacist time, which has helped increase the delivery of NHS services by more than 400% in some cases. All that adds up to more viable pharmacies, more fulfilled pharmacists, more pressure taken off overstretched NHS services, and more care delivered to patients. And isn’t that what we all want to achieve? Hi everyone! Today, Ray and I discuss a critical topic for hospital pharmacy efficiency and patient care: pharmacy-to-pharmacy transfers and redistribution. Imagine managing excess inventory and shortages across multiple pharmacies in a hospital system—all with just a spreadsheet. Not only is this a huge time sink, but it also leads to errors, delays, and wasted resources. Watch to explore how digitizing redistribution can transform pharmacy operations. #hosptial #pharmacy #inventory #pharmacyefficiency #supplychainoptimization
