We love working with ifm on their ‘Still Working’ videos which prove the extreme reliability of their sensors. With a Mythbusters sense of adventure, these videos show just how robust ifm products are in extraordinary situations – situations that fall well outside the industrial applications they're used in. While we had fun making these videos, we’re also very serious about communicating the durability and reliability of ifm products. After all, our purpose is 'Communicating value to shape a better world'. The ifm hardware and software solutions help Aussie businesses create safer, more productive and efficient work environments and processes. Every time we've had a Still Working shoot there have been moments when we thought we’d gone too far. And yet, those sensors were always STILL WORKING! 💪 Watch the video below to see collaboration and production in action: https://lnkd.in/gCe4T-TF #videomarketing #technology #sensors #digitalmarketing #COGadvertising

“Could gesture-based technology transform fire alarm systems?” “Gesture recognition and radar technology are redefining how we interact with devices. Google’s Soli interactive sensor, for instance, uses radar to detect motion and interpret gestures with incredible precision. It’s already making waves in consumer electronics—but could it have applications in fire alarm systems? Here are some possibilities I’ve been thinking about: • Touchless Interaction: Silencing alarms or testing systems with a wave of the hand—ideal for cleanrooms, hospitals, or high-traffic areas. • Presence Detection: Identifying occupants during emergencies to help guide first responders to those in need. • Distress Monitoring: Detecting subtle signs of distress, like irregular movement or breathing, during a fire to send early alerts. While there are challenges—like ensuring reliability in smoke-filled environments and meeting rigorous safety standards—it’s fascinating to consider how emerging technologies could bring new capabilities to fire safety. Could radar-based sensors and gesture controls be the next big leap in fire alarm innovation? Or are there other technologies better suited for this?
