Unlocking Africa’s agricultural power to ensure food security for all Africa holds 60% of the world’s uncultivated arable land, yet still relies on food imports. To unlock its agricultural potential and ensure food security, experts at the "Africa Unlocked" conference stressed the need for improved technology, infrastructure, and financial access for small-scale farmers. They highlighted opportunities in agri-processing, intra-African trade, and public-private partnerships, while calling for better policies and food safety standards to reduce reliance on imports and boost self-sufficiency.
