How often do you conduct ultrasonic leak detection surveys at your plant?

Something for the Weekend, Sir?'   Our theme for this Weekend is being posted earlier than usual due to potential strike action. It is 'That Figures':   It is important to support the PCS in their right not to work from work for at least 2 days a week. Therefore, I ask you today to ignore those who work from work when they say 'Something just doesn't add up'.   Yes, we know that hundreds of Office for National Statistics (ONS) officials have voted for all-out strike action, which may confuse some of you. However, it is important to note that, figuratively speaking, the ONS produces the official statistics. They, dare I say, above anyone else in the UK, must be onto something.   Therefore, I say that no worker who works from work should be arguing with those who work from home in the employ of the ONS. Instead, I say, consider taking leave from what you are being paid to do and consider checking your carbon footprint. (When doing this, please take care, and make a note of the time spent, so you can let your employer know.) As a bonus, instead of earning money, the time spent checking your carbon footprint might well gain you some very green unstructured continuous professional development (CPD) points. Of course, only you know how valuable the CPD points will be when it becomes necessary to find a new job.    Thinking ahead, along the same lines, please take note that COP29 is set to get off to a flying start in November. Next month, all kinds of statistics (and very important people) will be flying around for our benefit. That said, I have a confession! I fully admit to being a little bit challenged about how to fathom how anyone who works from home will be able to get to COP29. Even those who live in Baku, Azerbaijan will be under self-imposed home arrest during their working hours; the locals will be unable to visit the venues unless they either work from work or choose to visit in their own time. Answers, please, on a postcode, as this is proving to be too much for me.   Footnotes: (1) I fully accept that any common sense relating to all of the above would appear to be significantly above my pay grade.
