Spent my day creating and analyzing a 3D model of Miami Beach on ArcGIS Pro to identify buildings that would be effected by future rising sea levels. By using this 3D model, I was to identify the infrastructure that would be affected by sea level rise in 2030, 2050, and 2090. Check it out below - https://lnkd.in/gCcVdKCy

I learned about ways to make a 3D city model utilizing 2D and 3D data in Week 3 of GIS for Climate Action. 👉 The addition and symbolization of a multipatch layer was one approach to improving the accuracy of the 3D model of Miami city. 🔎 Data on rising sea levels was incorporated to the 3D model of Miami Beach using ArcGIS Living Atlas. Specifically, we developed the intermediate-high scenario for future sea levels in 2030, 2050, and 2090. 🛠 We used the sea level rise data from the structures that would be impacted by rising sea levels in Miami Beach in 2030, 2050, and 2090 to determine the year of inundation. To go deeper into the building analysis findings, a 3D exploratory analysis tool was employed. Course hashtags: #climateMOOC, #GISforClimateAction, and #StretchSection3SeaLevelRise

📸 Choosing the Right Trail Camera: Red Glow, White Flash, or No Glow? 📸 🔴 Red Glow Trail Cameras: Emit a faint red light and capture black-and-white images at night, making them great for game monitoring with minimal visibility. 💡 White Flash Trail Cameras: Capture full-color images at night, ideal for detail-oriented tasks but may alert animals with visible flash. 🌑 No Glow Trail Cameras: Completely invisible at night, perfect for discreet wildlife or security monitoring with black-and-white images, though nighttime detail may be slightly less than Red Glow cameras. Each trail camera type serves specific needs—choose the best fit for your monitoring goals! #TrailCameras #WildlifeMonitoring #OutdoorSolutions
