I asked myself why 🤔 Eventually, I think that this is because it conveys such an extraordinary message of - generosity - social inclusion - intergenerational solidarity - the power of education in creating self-empowerment and dignity - the multiplier effect of health-care workers on human health as a pre-requisite for well-being. We must strive to make these cases ordinary. Let's give our best to find the right recipe in every action for sustainable development! Trauma-Informed Practices in Higher Education We invite you to participate in a Trauma-Informed Practices in Higher Education Assessment, conducted by a team of interdisciplinary faculty at the University of Portland: Toyin Olukotun PhD, RN, Erin Currie, and Kala Mayer. ·        This study aims to assess trauma-informed practices at higher education institutions within the United States from the perspectives of faculty, staff, and administrators on campus. ·        This data will increase understanding of current trauma informed practices in higher education and can be used to make additional recommendations. ·        You qualify to be included in this study if you are 18 years or older and a staff, faculty, or administrative employee at an institution of higher education in the United States. It a study undertaken at the University of Cincinnati it was concluded that: The current data indicates an association of a decreased incidence of concussion among football players during the competitive seasons where vision training was performed as part of the preseason training. We suggest that better field awareness gained from vision training may assist in preparatory awareness to avoid concussion causing injuries. Continuing the legacy of physiology education, research, and leadership at UMMC.

This is invaluable. It's tough when you have an idea of the career path you want to follow, but there isn't a lot of support for it. Luckily, healthcare is universal so it's great to see a program dedicated to helping students get started.
