As part of her role in T-SIG/ Telangana Social Impact Group’s / T-SIG’s, Director, Ms Archana Suresh, addressed 170+ students on November 8, 2024. Here is an account by her.
I was Chief Guest and invited to address 170+ under-grad students from 11 colleges across Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore at a WIE (Women in Engineering) Conference recently. This was a national level MUN (Model United Nations) event in Hyderabad on November 8, 2024 and the 6th edition hosted by Sreenidhi College of Engineering, Hyderabad. Model UN or MUN, provides a unique platform for participants to simulate the workings of the United Nations by representing countries or organizations, addressing global challenges, debating solutions, and drafting resolutions. The MUN committees included: 1) EcoFin - Economic and Financial Council 2) GWC - Global Women’s Council 3) IP - International Press 4) AIPPM - All India Political Parties Meet 5) Arab League I also spoke to the students on themes that resonated: 1) Know your worth / Don’t look for validation 2) Network even if it makes you uncomfortable initially 3) Pay It Forward - What goes around, comes around 4) Be financially independent before taking any major step in your life (especially young girls who are on the cusp of marriage) Congrats Team Sreenidhi for bringing all these bright, young minds under one roof!
