 Can your concrete terrace or aluminum bleacher do this? 😲With the news that SPS is being used for the terracing in West Point’s historic Michie Stadium Preservation Project, there’s been much talk about the materials that can be used in what is an active military base. ‘A blast-resistant type of construction’ is more complex than just one particular material. But having a material that does not crack, spall, separate or rupture AND spreads the loads from a blast event goes a long way towards fulfilling the brief. 👉Traditional stadia decking materials do not. 📌Setoa 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 📌: 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗲 - 𝗨𝗦𝗔 The Governor of #Maryland has reported, in these days, that the operations of rescue of the container ship Dalì from the wreck of the #FrancisScottKeyBridge of Baltimore will be more complex than expected. Rear Admiral of the Coast Guard has stated that recent underwater sonar and lidar investigations have revealed that the wreckage of the bridge is significantly damaged, more than is visible to the public on the surface. The span of the bridge will have to be detached and raised from the bow of the Dalí to make it float again and remove it and that span of steel, from 4,000 tons, is very tangled. The waters of the Patapsco River are cloudy and make it difficult for divers to work without light. The 2,000-meter safety zone around the Francis Scott Key Bridge remains in place and authorities are working with the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company to ensure the safety of the area. Coordinating work is also a challenging project in itself. as each lifting operation requires engineering analysis to guide recovery plans. Unified Command is working on the reopening of three separate auxiliary navigation channels to begin moving tug and barge traffic into and out of port. There are 50 resources at work on the water and 370 people involved in the 24-hour operation coordinated by the Baltimore Key Bridge Response 2024 Unified Command which includes the US Coast Guard, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Maryland Department of Environment, Maryland Transportation Authority, Maryland State Police and Witt O'Brien representing Synergy Marine, manager of MV Dali.
