📱 Let's talk about The Resurgence of Second Screen Experiences 📺 The pandemic didn’t just change how we consume media—it rewired how we interact with it. One of the biggest shifts? The return of second screen experiences as a way to drive engagement with viewers and fans globally. Perhaps the only good thing to come from the pandemic, was the realization that camera tech caught up with reading QR, which led to widespread adoption of scanning to interact- from ordering food, to taking a poll, to sharing media. Now traditional screens like TV, venue signage, jumbotrons at sporting events, and digital out of home have a seamless bridge to the fan's best friend- their phone. And the data sets that come with it for the media brands prove that this isn’t a fad. The viewer's behavior is being trained more every day and the expectation is growing to have the option to participate. Now, traditional media programming is playing catch-up to the dynamic engagement that’s native to social media—where likes, shares, and comments build real-time data sets to shift algorithms and power personalized experiences, unlock smarter advertising strategies. If anyone knew me in my T-Mobile days, I was always pitching Mike, Peter, & Kindel on this very concept when social was changing from an organic property to the world's most powerful paid media platform.
