https://lnkd.in/eQbDVYqj We don’t all always know what are capable of doing and that doesn’t stop us from doing those things. Wait! The truth is we are capable of doing all things and, so, that’s why we end up doing things that we didn’t know we could do. If we always start with the premise that something can be, we will only be shown the necessary components to help get that thing done. If there is something you’ve been putting off doing because of difficulty or seeming impossibility, first start telling yourself it can be done and watch the marvel that starts to happen that leads you on the path to that things fruition. Let’s do it! #getregucated

Ethan Hawk briefly mentions poetry in this clip. This is my excuse to encourage everyone reading this to try their hand at poetry. My pro-poetry rant: Poetry is always the smallest section of the book store. It should be the biggest. Hip Hop/Rap is the music genre that is the most jammed packed with lyrics (poetry). It’s also the most streamed genre of music. AI can write stuff for us now. Arguable, AI is the least talented at poetry. Poetry hides in every other genre of writing (via poetic devices, such as metaphor). It’s the origin. The easiest to memorize. The highest intensity and the most efficient use of words.

🎨 Why Creativity Matters, Even for Technical Students 💡 Every year, I see students increasingly move away from creativity, especially those focused on engineering and science fields. While excelling in technical disciplines is important, finding a creative outlet can be just as essential for exploring new ideas and personal growth. As Ethan Hawke says in this must-watch TED Talk, creativity isn't just a luxury—it’s a necessity. When applying to university, many students are great at technical writing—whether it's crafting essays that follow strict rubrics or structuring paragraphs perfectly. But when faced with full creative freedom, it can be jarring. The challenge? Many students haven’t learned how to express themselves creatively. How to be more creative? - Write without a rubric. - Create without a set goal. - Express yourself for the sake of expressing. The key to unlocking creativity is embracing the freedom to write and create without restrictions. This is how you discover your personal narrative—something no mark scheme can measure.
